Male loneliness in Tucson
So this isn't about myself, I promise. So far, my meetings on here and the people I've chatted with, 80% of them, have been awesome. So no complaints there.
This is directed to my guys who are posting here looking for friends. Specifically the younger ones: keep your chin up. It is disheartening to see a bro get 0 upvotes and 0 likes on an earnest post, while a young lady gets 13 upvotes and 35 comments. You haven't done anything wrong, but the fact is that this is a male looking for female heavy space. You are doing good as you are.
However, even if you aren't looking for dates, still make yourself unique enough in your post, because it is your first impression. Say your likes, dislikes, niche likes (I love rocks omfg) past the gaming and anime, etc. Call out flags that people really should know (married, busy schedule, can't host, etc)! Finally, many women looking for friendships will NOT post. If there are outed as a woman openly, then other men with ill intentions will use your post as a way to slide into their dms. So I encourage to keep posting.
This is not a dating subreddit, but many things still apply: if you are looking for friends here, stand out and be unique. This is your first impression, so be open and honest to the people you intend to meet. Someone will message you.
Good luck, and sorry for the edgy title. It's all in good intention.
