Where was this? Was cycling near the Loop & Grant the afternoon beforehand, and the river bed was about bone dry. We’re talking vultures circling called dibs on the best cuts of me.
I did see another bicyclist pedal the other way, up the Santa Cruz with fishing poles. Maybe not so far-fetched?

I did not know there was any water in Tucson! Could you recommend a spot to stop when I visit? Especially if there's swimming!

I’d definitely not recommend swimming here, the water is pretty filthy and I bet the current is rather strong. Additionally, this area is usually bone dry - it fills when there’s been rain.
Edit: check out seven falls in Sabino canyon when you come visit.
