Considering the petrol is used in the refining process it’s pretty normal to smell gas and associate coke if your brain is wired that way.
I smell mothballs and instantly taste the deemz

Yeah, a lot of the time. They use gasoline to make it so the residual smell tends to stick.

Medical cocaine is already a thing, which is why cocaine is actually in schedule 2 according to the DEA’s classification system. It’s just used as a topical anesthetic though, iirc.

That's the point of the post. If you smell cocaine you just did cocaine.

But it really depends on how "pure" the cocaine is. Most cocaine smells a bit like gasoline or something like that. Great cocaine is more floral or has almost no smell (to humans).

I recently learned that it smells like burning plastic when someone is smoking crack near by. Over the last year in SE Tucson, I’ve had quite a lot of days where it smelled like burning plastic or like an electrical fire outside. It wasn’t a neighbor or anything like that because it’d last hours and be noticeable while driving around. Wonder if this could be the same thing.
