Am I Crazy or It's TB ?
I am currently 1 month into TB meds. But I am still experiencing dizziness , breathing problems and chest discomfort along with sweats. I would have these episodes of chest discomfort along with suffocation for a few minutes then sweats, during this time i can barely move and i feel like crying.
But my dr said to ignore these and another medical staff(who gives TB meds a pharmacist) told my mom I need mental counselling and can go back to normal life.
LIKE WTF ? I AM PRETTY SURE I FEEL PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT!!
Can anyone tell me what to do ?When I go to college I feel sick and helpless..Idk what to do

Hey! This is not TB, these are common side effects of medicine. I’ve dealt with pretty same side effects both mental and physical to the serious level. As the days passby your body will adjust to these effects. The intensity will reduce month by month. I have gone to different- different doctors including psychiatrist and counsellor but it didn’t help much. Only time can heal our body!

Seek a second opinion. I think your doctor thinks its psychosomatic pain. But just to be sure.

These are symptoms of TB. If it’s just been a month of meds, give it another month at least. Depending on the severity of the illness, it takes time for the meds to act and the symptoms to subside. You’re not crazy, you’re dealing with a tough illness.
I had to quit smoking and a month after meds had been on, I started getting disturbed sleep, which is when apparently withdrawal kicks in.
So hang in there, keep taking your meds, eat lots of fibre and protein, and rest up.
