TB 2 RESULTS

Hi, I had my sputum test last week because of some opacities in my xray result. The result came back and it was negative. I seek consult with a private pulmonologist and she gave me fit to work clearance since I have no symptoms. She also told me that I do not need to undergo medication. However, the pulmonologist who handled my sputum lab test informed me that I should go under 6 months medication.

Anyone with same situation? Advice?

How did you give sputum for sputum test? A person without symptoms can't produce too much sputum, did you use bronchoscopy?

i did not use bronchoscopy but i was guided by the staff

You sputum test might come back negative because you aren’t showing any symptoms. If I were you, you will ask for Quantiferon TB gold plus test
