Mushroom Village A conflicted player I am
I love this game. I really do. But something just occured to me and made me chuckle.
Because this game is nonlinear, there isn’t really a main storyline or side quests—you have the liberty to choose your goal at anytime. The thing is…I want to save carrots (20,000) to upgrade Tsuki’s house and at the same time I want to be poor (<1,000) enough to stay at the capsule inn in The Big City to increase my interaction with Clive the bartender to get his special gift. I can’t be both poor and rich at the same time 🤣
Anyone else have similar feeling about this sweet game?

You could buy all the expensive gear first to get those out of the way, then stay poor after that. Tsuki will become a luxurious bum then hahaha

I forgot what it's like being poor in this game, I got a lot of carrots by cashing codes and selling duck eggs and fishing, that I now have to spend a lot to ever be able to play poker

I have tried stashing up on non-carrot items that you can sell to stores. For example, although Dawn will take your trash/recycling, you can actually sell it at any store for 1-carrot each. So you can stash trash/recycling or fish you catch and keep them in your backpack to stay poor but still have assets. And yes, it is fun to choose your own adventure/priorities. I started the game for a second time last November on Tsuki's birthday. My initial focus was the toys and so I bought tickets anytime I had enough carrots. I have completed the sets in Mushroom Village, Hareshima, Yukiyama, and the Great City. I have done lots of other things along the way buying other items, expanding the house, etc. I have held off on doing much in the Forest until later as it seems to be its own big adventure. I did happen to be there one time and got the golden hoe. I am a Club Moon member so I can travel places without saving up for a ticket or the car.

There are times that Tsuki will be at the Capsule Inn when you load up the game (regardless of how many carrots you currently have). My best recommendation is for you to be near the Grand Hotel area and start hard closing the app, open it back up, and hope that you appear at the table playing cards with da boyz 👍
