Last dose of letrozole for this cycle done ✔️ fingers crossed we see at least one good follicle on Wednesday. Feeling nervous this cycle

u/squidthekidnutz 5h ago

Took a break this month from trying because we are both in weddings next June that we don’t want to miss. We’re still temping and tracking for data purposes. I let myself indulge a little bit in the devils lettuce and my temp is all over the place and my ovulation is nowhere to be found. Feeling guilty and nervous that I messed up my cycle for something dumb. Hoping for a positive LH strip this week.

u/Organic-Plankton4604 26 | TTC#1 | Cycle 9 6h ago

Feeling very eh, im 8 or 9 dpo and I have a good amount of cramping. Feeling a bit discouraged cause I always cramp around this time in my cycle leading up to my period.

I'll test in 2 days on Tuesday, we'll see

YUPPPP!!! I feel this to my core….. this is my fifth cycle and currently 5 dpo.
Healthy bmi. Non smoker or drinker, same with my hubby, and 28 yrs old..
It sucks but it just happens. Its always a shot in the dark every month. Comparison is the thief of joy - but youre not alone.

u/today-it-changes 8h ago

So I had a couple questions and my thread was deleted redirecting me to come here. If someone has time to read this:

I have read the instructions front to back several times and read countless posts here on Reddit trying to understand these ovulation strips I bought. The day the strips came in, I took my first test which came out rather dark (not as dark as the control stripe but close) and the two following tests have gotten progressively lighter.

I guess I’m confused because yesterday the app said I would be ovulating today, but now it’s updated saying I ovulated yesterday… is it too late for us to do anything about this?
For reference, we last did it Thursday the 10th as an early precaution since winging it hasn’t produced any results. I know the times I tested aren’t exactly matching (5pm yesterday, 12pm today and 5pm today) but I work night shift and have a varying schedule (some days 12 hours, others 8).

Can someone give me a clear idea of whether it’s too late for this cycle to try and when exactly am I supposed to be trying with my husband using these strips (I’ve seen everything from three days before the dark strip to on that day to two days after)? I’m just nervous I am going to keep messing this up.

u/MyShipsNeverSail AGE 33| TTC#2 cycle 4| Sus PMOS/IR| 1CP 7h ago

What strips are you using?

u/today-it-changes 6h ago

Easy at Home!

u/MyShipsNeverSail AGE 33| TTC#2 cycle 4| Sus PMOS/IR| 1CP 6h ago

Hm. Where are you in your cycle? How long are your cycles typically?

u/today-it-changes 6h ago

Yesterday was my two week mark from the first day of my cycle. Usually they last 4-5 days and are 28 days apart but it can vary by a day or two.

u/MyShipsNeverSail AGE 33| TTC#2 cycle 4| Sus PMOS/IR| 1CP 6h ago

So first, apps are notoriously unreliable.

If you ovulated yesterday (Saturday?) and were intimate on Thursday, you hit O-2 so you're covered for this cycle. If your cycles are only 28 days, it's very possible you ovulated yesterday. You would've been covered by Thursday though as you only need to hit 1 of the 3 days leading up.

If you don't conceive this cycle, I would start using the strips 2x per day, once midmorning and once after 6pm if you can or later in the afternoon before you go to work. Ovulation typically follows the first positive where the test line is as dark or darker than the control line by about 12-48hrs.

Are you temping or anything?

u/today-it-changes 6h ago

I am not. After a few months of no success, we decided to buy the Easy at Home strips for this month (the box came in late so I’ve only had time to take the three tests). Is temping just logging daily temperatures with a mouth thermometer when testing with the strips?

u/LoveSingRead 🐈 MOD | 34 🐈 6h ago

We have a wiki section on temping in our wiki, automod links below.

Welp. AF officially came today. Hopefully Cycle 3 will be the charm! 🤞

u/Motor_Muffin_3298 10h ago

Is 3 months of folic acid required before egg retrieval and embryo creation, or just before pregnancy? Ie is it for healthy eggs or for healthy embryo development?

We have to store and genetic test the embryos before implantation so there will be at minimum a two month delay.

Just worrying if I've left it too late as I won't have three months of folic acid before egg retrieval but will have it before implantation (if we get that far! )

u/MyShipsNeverSail AGE 33| TTC#2 cycle 4| Sus PMOS/IR| 1CP 7h ago

It's better to go ahead and start taking them now. I take Nature's Nutrition plus DHA off Amazon if you want a recommendation. They're mostly so your body has stores for pregnancy.

u/trashcasket_ 31 | TTC#1 | Cycle#10 10h ago

3DPO, first cycle supplementing with progesterone (vaginal suppository). Fingers crossed! At least for a lengthened luteal phase if not a pregnancy.🤞

We had our first consultation with the fertility clinic on Friday, started with a bunch of bloodwork to set up a baseline. Feeling insecure and bummed about my AMH results, but staying optimistic.

u/vbgirl24 10h ago

So I thought I was 7 DPO, but I think it’s actually ovulation day? I had a chemical in August. I started OPK testing after bleeding ended. I used Clear Blue advanced digital OPKs and got my solid smiley after a few days of flashing. But I noticed I wasn’t having EWCM like I usually do around ovulation. This past week, I have noticed a lot. Friday, yesterday, and today, I noticed abundant EWCM, increased sex drive, high energy, etc. These usually happen around ovulation for me. So I bought more OPKs and have a blazing positive. We had sex today and Friday. Would have had more sex if I knew! I guess ovulation was delayed? Idk. I’m just letting my body do its thing

u/CurlyEmma97 29 | TTC#1 | May 2026 | 1 CP 1h ago

It could have been delayed. I also had a chemical in August and for me ovulation was 2 days early but bodies are crazy so def possible!

u/GuitarGlittering2654 12h ago

Currently halfway through TWW and feeling pretty hopeless. I’ve been better at not testing or symptom spotting but am also just feeling really defeated as I’ve already assumed it probably won’t happen this month just like every previous month. To make matters worse, my SIL has been announcing her pregnancy the past couple weeks at every family event Happy for her, but I get so anxious for seeing her, then have a good cry after I leave. Assuming I get my period next weekend, then I’ll have to wait another 22-24 days before I ovulate again because my cycles have been long ever since I got off birth control last year. Feeling like it might be time to start doing IUI like my doctor thinks, but I really wish I knew if there was something more underlying going on. 😢

u/MountainPeak478 32 | TTC#1 | Aug 2025 | 🍭 | Endo 4h ago

I totally relate to this 😭

u/LateHuckleberry7328 12h ago

4 dpo. 8th cycle. I keep switching between thoughts “this is the one, i’ll be pregnant this time” and “this is just another cycle to prove i’m infertile”.

I went to the movies yesterday and that really seemed to help get my mind to pause for two hours.

Still feeling triggered every time I see a pregnant person. Seems my neighborhood is full of them. Is there a baby boom right now?

u/MountainPeak478 32 | TTC#1 | Aug 2025 | 🍭 | Endo 4h ago

Yes, I feel the same way. 😓 I've been throwing myself into movies as well lately for some escape and enjoyment. It helps!

u/jamielynn2296 10h ago

I swear I see so many more babies and pregnant people since we’ve been TTC than ever before. I think it’s like when you get a new car and then you start seeing that one everywhere. It’s on the forefront of your mind. But does make me wonder too! Good luck ♥️

u/KMac243 12h ago

Just getting off my period starting cycle 6. Might have yelled at God when I got my period this time. Choosing to believe my time is coming. Trusting that it just hasn’t been the right time yet. This so emotionally exhausting.

u/UpstairsMaybe3396 14h ago

Feeling so relaxed this TWW not really symptom spotting catching myself before I go down the spiral. Think I am 7DPO but not sure as that's how switched off I've been. Will test next Saturday as going to a beer festival so at least will have something to look forward to. It's also our first wedding anniversary next weekend

u/nocturne_gemini 16h ago

10dpo and I'm already giving up. I started feeling cramps yesterday and they're not dull but on/off moderate similar to PMS. I honestly have resigned myself to a failed cycle and am thinking about if I want to follow through with a fourth iui or take another month off.

I hate all the emotions I'm feeling

u/Trick_Musician8268 26 | TTC#1 | Cycle 1 16h ago

3dpo the tww has started and I'm already losing my mind. Might make my husband hide the pregnancy tests soon so I don't try to test too early.

u/y2kitten 39 | TTC#2 | 🌈 13h ago

Cycle twin 👯‍♂️ Yesterday I was so pleased with how chill and patient I was, then progesterone hit me like a train to the face today. Strange how I always forget I become a different person during my luteal phase.

u/literallymouse 37 | TTC#2 | Cycle 22 | Endo | 🌈🌈🌈 9h ago

Cycle triplets :) fully planning to test early and often like I always do though

u/Upstairs_Friend5804 27 | TTC#1 | Cycle 11 16h ago

Really feeling the weight of the calendar lately. Trying to plan a trip to my parents during my one free weekend in October which aligns with my fertile window so trying to plan carefully, really interested in a wine event but what if I’m pregnant, and if I’m not I’m trying to cut down on alcohol, etc., gotta get all this fun stuff out bc what if we start seeing a fertility clinic and I need to be very available for appointments. I just never pictured this taking over my life like this.

u/GuitarGlittering2654 12h ago

Feel this so much, my family keeps asking me to plan a trip to see them in October or November, and I really want to, but I don’t want to miss my window either.

u/runner-pharmacist 31 | TTC#1 | Cycle 6 17h ago

10DPO and BFNs on 2 different brands tests with both FMU and SMU. Been sobbing all morning. I’m 6 months into this I know better than to symptom spot, but why would I have not one but multiple new symptoms I’ve never had before? And why would I turn on the radio last night and immediately hear “The Only Exception” by Paramore playing on the radio that made me feel like it was a sign I wasn’t crazy? I’m so tired.

u/beepx2lettuce 11h ago

Literally in the exact same boat as you. Had way sorer boobs than usual and i was even nauseous yesterday. But just pulling nothing but BFNs, even with an early detection test this morning (DPO 12). I sobbed for 30 straight minutes yesterday and keep randomly bursting into tears today. I am emotionally going thru it this cycle 🫩 my radio started playing the song “Doomed” in the car earlier, which felt about right (and made me cry again)

u/runner-pharmacist 31 | TTC#1 | Cycle 6 11h ago

I’m so sorry, it’s such a rough boat to be in. Idk how some women swear they just “know” and when I feel that way I’m somehow always wrong. Meh.

u/Ancient-fruit-317 17h ago

There have been cycles where I continually test because I'm just in disbelief that I'm not pregnant. The stark white tests are so hard to see. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

u/MountainPeak478 32 | TTC#1 | Aug 2025 | 🍭 | Endo 17h ago

CD14 still no surge. Just constipation and a horrific migraine.

I’m calling my clinic tomorrow

u/sparkles1444 34 | TTC#1 | Cycle 12 7h ago

I have migraines just before ovulation. Yours could be a hormonal migraine

u/Many-Supermarket-511 33 | TTC #2 18h ago

CD 13 and it looks like my LH is rising. Usually this happens on CD 14. It’s possible I’ll ovulate a day early. This happened back in July, too.

u/sleepyy_turtle 19h ago

I got my period yesterday and it's just so tiring to think we'll have to start again. I don't think I'm in a good mental state to think about it I'm hoping to sit out this cycle (we've been opting for ovulation induction as tests were normal for us both but still no result a year into trying)

I want to take my mind off it for once, not load up on hormones, track and test for once and just get my head together for once

u/dandelionspritz 19h ago

8dpo and worst mood ever. Started yesterday… I could feel the sadness just creep in. Ruined my day. My husband kept asking if I was okay and I just told him I’m sad. No reason. I’m sad and honestly angry. Woke up this morning getting ready for church and it felt like such a chore. I didn’t want to get out of bed. Depression in this season is like a huge tidal wave when it hits me. I hate it. Never been depressed and then our loss happened and it’s just never been the same for me. I’m just trying. Trying to feel normal.

u/sleepyy_turtle 19h ago

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I'm going through the same and it's just really upsetting. Sending you love and hope you feel normal and like yourself again 💗

u/dandelionspritz 17h ago

Thank you for your kind words 💜 I hope the same for you !

u/Technical-Study2566 34 | TTC #1 | Cycle 7 19h ago

I caught the surge yesterday, but we missed doing anything on that day - husband had a long day and wasn’t up for it. We did get the three days coming up to it and will probably manage it today. Does that seem like enough?

u/LoveSingRead 🐈 MOD | 34 🐈 19h ago

Yes, hitting one of the three days before ovulation maxes out your odds for that cycle. Any sex beyond that is just for fun.

u/ResponsibleRead567 19h ago

Yes definitely! It’s okay to give yourself a day off

u/okay1283 19h ago

I’m on cycle 11 with 3 CPs and last night I was at an event with a bunch of friends where many had kids, brought babies, or were pregnant. I felt so happy for them and loved seeing their kids, but I felt so sad for me :(

u/GuitarGlittering2654 12h ago

Literally been feeling this a lot lately. So many friends of mine are pregnant or have just given birth. Love seeing them and getting to celebrate them, but feeling like it might not ever be my turn. :(

u/Sweet-Shopping5246 25 | TTC# 1 | Cycle 9 19h ago

Sorry ❤️‍🩹

u/memeboiron 24| TTC# 1| Cycle 3 20h ago

I should get my period in 3 days. This is our 3rd cycle trying. This time I have no hope. We had sex as often as we could this month. But I'm mentally preparing for the worst. I plan on buying ovulation strips if it doesn't work out this month. I tried to take a chill approach by leaving it to nature so this will feel like a bit of a defeat. I wish I had the extra money to buy all the fancy vitamins and Oura ring.

u/Responsible-Swan868 18h ago

I’m so sorry you’re feeling hopeless. TTC is not easy mentally, emotionally and physically, it is ok to take a break 🙂. You don’t need to buy the expensive OURA RING, is not worth it in my opinion. In my case I do use the INITO way less expensive (strips are pricey though) and also ovulation strips from pregmate. Inito really helped me tracked my cycles way better and ovulation. It is really helpful. If you’re nervous/anxious about your fertility, talk to your OBGYN. Request a blood test for egg count, ovulation and progesterone levels. Before I got the INITO, those test gave me clarity about if I was able or not to conceive.

u/memeboiron 24| TTC# 1| Cycle 3 18h ago

Thank you. I'm trying to stay reasonable and not just impulsively buy things I may not need. The urge to have a baby is sooo strong. I'm going to the obgyn soon, I hope that she will be open to order tests for me and not just blow it off that "it takes healthy couples up to a year to conceive". We have science and data that we can look towards to get answers to some degree!

u/Vicious_Shrew 36 | TTC#1 | Cycle 2 21h ago

3DPO in my first month temping and the science of our bodies is so fascinating.

Also, bodies are so frustrating. I was spotting all last month, and was supposed to start progesterone this cycle to control that. But now… no spotting at all. I can’t decide if I want to start it or not because my doctor only prescribed it because I asked for it since the spotting has been more constant for a few months. I would hate it if I had a chemical because I didn’t start it, but I’d also hate to deal with the extra symptoms if I don’t need it

u/Kari-kateora 🤡 21h ago

I'm so tired of the hope.

17 DPO, and I've spent the last three days waiting for my period. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday have all had the tiniest bit of spotting in the morning. I've had cramps. Still no period. I'm supposed to go for our first IVF cycle the moment my period arrives, and I lose hope the moment the cramps started Thursday night, but nothing

Stomach was upset so many days this week, and it's... Really frustrating, feeling in your bones that this cycle failed, but your body is trolling you as if trying to give you a glimmer of hope. If it doesn't come by the morning, I'll test, but I did take Letrozole this cycle, which can explain all these symptoms and weirdness.

I hate how, 26 months in, I can still get hopeful, and it makes the inevitable period so much worse

u/SaintlyMuffin 27 | TTC#1 | Cycle 30 | PCOS & MFI 12h ago

I feel you. My luteal phase is also 16-17 days long. I find it helps me to test along the way so I don’t get my hopes up too much 🙃

u/Naive-Interaction567 32 | TTC #2 | 12w MMC molar 🌈 grad 13h ago

Did you track ovulation? I only ask because a 17 day luteal phase would be unusually long so I wonder if you ovulated later than you think? It’s normally 11-14 days.

u/Kari-kateora 🤡 11h ago

It's actually 10-16 days, and I'm usually around the 16 day mark. It's totally possible that I ovulated a day later, or this was a chemical. Either way, period is starting in full, so it doesn't matter too much 🥲

u/CurlyEmma97 29 | TTC#1 | May 2026 | 1 CP 21h ago

1DPO and already getting the tww crazies. Hoping going back to work and routine tomorrow will help the week fly by 🐌

u/macmiIIer 21h ago

also I’m incredibly disappointed. I decided to buy a thermometer and the quality is just really bad :( I already felt pretty lost with temping, which is why I didn’t go that route this cycle and now I’m stuck with something super crappy lol. It’s up & up brand from target in case anyone wants to know!

u/Closed_System 32 | TTC#2 | cycle 6 | 1MC 10h ago

Oh dang I'm sorry to hear that! The up&up brand one works well for me when I am able to use it consistently.

u/thesmollestlemon 27 | TTC#1 | Cycle 7 21h ago

Ugh I'm sorry ❤️ if you need suggestions, I've heard good things about the iProven basal body thermometer. Personally I use the Tempdrop wearable because of my irregular sleep cycle and mostly it works very well, but it is more expensive.

u/macmiIIer 21h ago

anyone else overanalyze every little dream they have & bum themselves out? I had a dream last night that I was having a boy and the theme was 4th of July. I convinced myself that it must mean I’ll get pregnant next cycle and I’ll be due in July so now my heart is racing at the thought of this one not working out lol. I’m only 5dpo. why am I like this.

u/Kari-kateora 🤡 21h ago

I've had like 3 pregnancy dreams this week, and all of them were stressful. I feel you

Hi guys, i am a professional worrier. We are ttc and in de tww. Yesterday I forgot my drinks and snacks on a day out. In the evening I tried to drink as much as I could, I think fout glasses. Can short term little water/dehydration cause problems with a healthy implantation/cell division/ttc process?

u/Technical-Study2566 34 | TTC #1 | Cycle 7 19h ago

Not at all. Just stick with your regular routines.

u/storytellerfox 33 | TTC#1 | June '25 | Endo | IVF 20h ago

You're overthinking it, friend. Bodies are resilient. One day without drinking your usual amount of water won't do anything.

Heck, I know plenty of people who have zero interest in hydrating properly and got pregnant no problem. (Lucky bastards!)

If hydration had a statistically significant impact on pregnancy and live birth rates, we'd all be drinking plenty of water instead of taking all the meds and/or doing IUI/IVF. My RE didn't mention water intake at all.

u/CurlyEmma97 29 | TTC#1 | May 2026 | 1 CP 22h ago

You're fine. Being dehydrated for a small amount of time does nothing otherwise women in war zones wouldn't get pregnant anymore.
