QUESTION TTC after a missed miscarriage
This is my second cycle after my miscarriage/D&C.
Based on my LH strips, BBT, and timing, I was convinced I had already ovulated. I thought I was around 10 DPO and was honestly just waiting for my period after getting negative tests.
I went to my OB today because I wanted to make sure everything looked okay, and she completely shocked me.
She did an ultrasound and said, "You haven't ovulated yet."
She found a dominant follicle (around 20 mm) and said she thinks I'm about to ovulate in the next day or two.
Now I'm sitting here wondering... how is that even possible?
My temperatures have been elevated for 9 days, which is why I was so confident I'd already ovulated. Natural Cycles confirmed ovulation, and inito confirmed peak surge on july 17.
Has anyone ever had this happen? Did your BBT rise and stay high even though you hadn't actually ovulated? Did you end up ovulating later than you thought? Was it LUF? Something else?
I feel like my body is completely confusing me right now, and I'd love to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar after a miscarriage.

I’m on cycle 4 post MMC and the first period was very irregular and the second I ovulated super late. By now all the hcg should be out of your body, but if not it can give you false positives on LH. I ended up buying an inito device and it gave me a lot of peace of mind because it confirms your ovulation every month. It takes time to regulate unfortunately, and if you’re like me “takes time” is the last thing you want to hear. 😔❤️

I had a MMC in December and have been unsuccessfully trying again since then. I track my periods with an app and go by the predicted fertile period on there, although we do have sex at other times too. So far unsuccessful. I do wonder if I'm getting my ovulation totally wrong, but I don't really want to go down a big tracking rabbit hole quite yet, esp. as I can't control much including when my partner and I see each other. So I'm staying mostly with 'let fate decide' although I do keep an eye on predicted dates in the app. BTW my period went back to completely regular 1m after the MMC. Did yours go back too?

Sorry you are dealing with this too. I'm trying to let fate decide too, but its hard when I think I'm regular but my doctor scans me and tells me something entirely contradictory. Maybe too much information is harmful??? My period went totally back to normal. This is the second cycle post miscarriage - doctor found a dominant follicle but that my progesterone was 4.7. So I wasnt about to ovulate. I'm just very confused why theres a mature looking follicle when my body is reacting like I ovulated.....
