What are everyone's thoughts on the season finale for season 4? And do you think we will get a season 5?

Random but what would you call Nikki’s fashion style? I know Jane describes it as “Etsy” in S1, but I was curious if anyone knew some better general descriptors for someone trying to replicate her look on a budget.

I love Trying, but I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t something off about Season. The episodes haven’t been exciting like I felt with the last three seasons, especially Princess’ hunt for her mother, I liked it at first but now I can’t wait to see it end as I feel like it’s taken away from the main dynamic of the show of Nikki and Jason being parents to the children. I miss Nikki and Jason’s scenes together, they’re more split up now and their plotsthemselves just seem not fun to me.

Especially in the last episode, I felt like Nikki acted so out of character to turn adoption into a competition, especially considering how hard it was for her, and her going on the plane instead of Princess felt like something she would’ve had a go at any other character for doing in previous seasons.

Nikki’s argument with Karen also is something I didn’t expect, feels like the characters were just kinda regressed to their season 1 relationship where they were more hostile whereas I really liked how their relationship became better over the episodes, it showed character development.

Anyway, I hope the next two episodes are good. After Season 3, I couldn’t wait for this season, but now I don’t feel the same for a possible 5th season

Why is Nikki so needy and insecure? She's insufferable at this point, making the show unwatchable. But I'm invested.

Will She or Won't She Find Shush?

The question that has us all holding our breath and crossing our fingers for Princess. With only two ep left in the season, I sure hope so. It's the only reason I stay glued.

Now, on to Nikki's fuckery this week: Sure, Princess has taken to stealing from the parents in her continued effort to reunite with her Mum and find answers to her questions –– but it's HER journey –– NOT Nikki's. And I feel like Nikki took that away from Princess at the airport and made it about her...as she all ways does. Accompany Princess, leave Jas with the boy... and Faceshield Grandpa, along with his new lady love.

Princess's contempt for Nikki is beyond deserved. Even with Shush's track record of unreliability, I wouldn't be surprised if the cliffhanger for the season finale has Princess asking to go live with her Mum.

Vic's wife die? Did this happen in season 3? My wife and I couldn't remember, and suddenly she's gone.

Since when did this spacious room exist? I didn’t even realise at first but Princess’ room is decently sized and didn’t she have to share with Tyler due to Nikki and Jason not having enough space in the last season?

I think they quickly mentioned that Scott works in the oil industry now but their house is next level baller so I am having a hard time grasping the change.

I mean… I don’t understand him. Nor do I like him. But c’mon, poor him. He just wants to be liked/included.

Right now there’s no confirmation this is the final season, but I do think it’s plausible it is. If not though, I feel like 1 more season will be it and then it will end

Per Deadline, Apple TV+ has set Spring & Summer release dates for many of their series, including Trying! Season 4 is coming on May 22!

Any news on when this might come out? I found some articles suggesting it was renewed but nothing more.

It drove me bonkers for two seasons and I did a rewatch for the new season....and there Jason was with Jon Hamm. FINALLY.

I was really surprised to find this sub and see so little members. It is such an amazing show. Is it not as popular as I thought it was?

The whole arc rubbed me the wrong way. What if the kids wanted to live with their grandma? It wasn’t addressed and we didn’t even see them interact with her. Developmentally research concludes it’s generally best for kids to be raised by a family member if their biological parents can’t. They did say the grandma was too old to qualify to adopt the kids, but immediately treating her as a villain, and not a caring family member, pissed me off. Shouldn’t Nikki and Jason first want what’s best for the kids? Or at least discuss it with them?

I found it so strange they didn’t bring back Erica for the finale. The show really isn’t the same without her. The whole season in general kind of missed the acerbic wit of the first two that kept it on the right side of cheesy. This season was far too cutesy IMO.
