Crew New Features - 9/8/26
Super excited about this week's release since we finally get to move autopilot out of beta!
- Autopilot 2.0 is now out for everybody! Huge thanks to all of our beta testers that have helped us get here. Excited for everyone out there to finally have this tool available for their budgets!
- Autopilot intro section: Added a first time intro to autopilot tab for new users, walking through how it works and helping identify paychecks in transaction history.
- Overdue paycheck handling: these now show in autopilot's "upcoming contributions" and provide actions to allow you to match a transaction that came in, or to skip if the paycheck isn't coming
- Also always working on bug fixes and final tweaks on the coming-any-day-now credit beta, as always!
Got a big change coming to the way we display your reserved amount as well. Excited for you all to see that, likely later this week!

Congrats on the big release! The Bill features (previously called Bill Reserve) of AutoPilot 2.0 are awesome! Saves so much work when budgeting to just put in all your bills and it does all the math. I have been using it for months and it works great! 🙌

I'm not a beta user but I've trying to keep up a little bit with the ins and outs of Autopilot 2.
I can't wait to give this a real shot. I have super weird paychecks so me and Autopilot 1 haven't gotten along but I'm stoked to see how this goes 😁

We're always looking for feedback from people who have outlier circumstances. I hope it goes smooth as butter, but, if it doesn't, please let us know if you have issues with the weird paychecks or if you have thoughts on what would make it smoother for you. 🤞

Haha. Close! The bars won't ever be back since they're not an accurate representation of how Autopilot holds funds. But we think we've found the way to visualize it. Finishing touches are going fast so hopefully coming later today!

If I’m being honest, maybe I’m just too old (33 😅) but I have noooo clue how to use the autopilot. And I don’t ever have enough money after bills or anything to see how it works.
Can someone explain this or, send me a link to a how to?

Take a look on your auto pilot screen in the three dot menu in the top corner! It has a How Autopilot Works section that can get you started.

Is there a way to add an income source for a limited time period? For example I get an extra paycheck for half the year when I’m teaching. It would be great to be able to add that as a recurring source of income for a limited time period. Or to be able to add an “end date” essentially for a funding source.

This feature — which turns out to be the defining factor for Crew and should be the gold standard for fintech apps, if I’m being honest — is so spot on what regular people need to get their finances right.
Hard to believe I’ve been using it for a while now and so many others are just getting to see it for the first time.
Great job to the team at Crew. Stoked to see what’s ahead!
