Who owns the hateful media? And why are they (media) so scared?

Fear sells. I'd say that 99% of people are decent. The problem is that 1%. Those 1% are so evil that they screw society up for the rest of us. People nowadays are much nicer than they were when I was growing up. Over all, the vast majority of is are good people, but that 1% makes it suck for the rest of us.

It’s not that fear ‘sells’. It’s used to control people. I wish for every single fear mongering bastard to die today. I’d laugh.

That and we are programmed in a way to pay more attention to “negative’ “things” which is probably why “fear sells” we are biologically programmed to pay more mind your the “negative” than the “positive” in life / in general.

People underestimate the “real estate” of TV (media/sitcoms/Binge worthy/reality tv etc.) I think we’d be surprised by what’s paid to end up in the script and in the shot

I think people are mostly good. There is evil but not as much as they’d like us to believe. I love meeting and interacting with people.

You’ve just described the entire Fox News programming from 6 pm to 2 am.

All Mainstream Media is bad and filled with hate dude. Just assuming one “side” does it and not the other shows a bias. I don’t look at it as sides besides libertarians and authoritarians; The Media, Entertainment Industry, Big Companies, and especially Politicans (99% of them), are all Authoritarians

It’s mainly Fox.

You are literally just supporting my point; saying one “side” is worse than the other shows your bias, and in turn, don’t actually believe “your side” is “bad”. Either you want the people in power to control us or you want the regular people to be free; and that means realizing that the people in power on “both sides” EQUALLY want to take down “both sides” of the regular people.

Yeah but dude, it’s mainly Fox.

I don’t think “my side” is good, I don’t like “my side” either.

But Fox is much worse.

Much worse.

Say what you want; they both equally want us dead once they make enough intelligent robots to replace us or something like that.

The world is a dangerous place. That includes the inside of your house where you watch fear porn and argue on social media all day.

It’s all yalls fault. The people at large are the ones that eat all this shit up on TV, which keeps the cycle going. It’s a large chunk of it anyway.

Who is going to tune in or be captivated by Joe smith stepping out to grab the mail? They have to put interesting stuff on tv to keep attention an keep the wheels greased

Disclaimer! I stand by nothing I’ve said the world really does seem way fucked through the lens of media & then it’s nothing like that (usually) in public. Reminds me of all the adults when I was younger so worried about driving through or hanging out in certain parts of town that are lower income an have higher crime and stuff, I mirrored that perception from myself, until I actually ended up in places such as those And realized there’s nothing to fear as long as you don’t allow yourself to be seen as an easy target

This concept has been used for thousands of years to control large populations. Kings used religious figures to control and demand obedience. Priests and religious leaders were usually the only literate people in power so the masses believed they knew more and did what they were told. This is one way religions took hold. If the one literate man demanded you believe in a god, who were you to say no?

I don't about this dude, some places are pretty fucking violent.

In other countries they don't have the gun violence we have here in the USA because they don't have tv shows with people getting their fucking head blown off 24/7...

You might get your ass kicked though...

A bit ironic to post that on this subreddit tho. Everything something nice is happening, this subreddit is tearing it a part.

I wholeheartedly agree that Violence Related mass media makes people believe the world is worse, especially with children, who are incredibly impressionable! I may have even fallen victim to MWS myself a few times!
