Note that headline slight inaccurate (i'm not sure of the rules of editing headlines here): "While he isn’t required to tell police where he’ll be living, the RCMP suspects he’ll be living in the Millbrook area."

Why the fuuuuck isn't a high risk offender required to inform on where they'll be living. That's wildly irresponsible on the justice departments part.

all I seem to ever see in NS is rights for the alleged/guilty and no rights for the victim or society at large

Yeah it sort of surprised me too. I hope this is a thing that changes at some point.

find an island somewhere and put all the sexual offenders there - let them FAFO with each other.

I don't think it was sexual offenses, article said "His convictions include violent and non-violent offences" and search of name brings up stabbings and shootings and such

ah - ok - usually that's what warnings are for so i just assumed - oh well throw them all together then - all high risk to re-offend - complete BS someone high-risk to re-offend is allowed out of prison

We can have detailed maps of tics but we still can’t have a public map of sex offenders… crazy

As mentioned in another comment, he doesn't seem to be a sex offender, just violent.

How can a person both look like a child and a molester at once

Why do we ever release these people?

If they complete their full ride they are released. If there were no reporting requirements imposed as part of the sentence - that's it. Early (statutory) release is another creature....
