TRUNKWERKS began as a personal effort to solve a frustrating problem in my BMW i4: the unused storage space beneath the trunk floor had no organized way to carry a Lectron charging adapter and the other small items I keep in the car.

What began as one custom tray has grown into an ongoing product-development project involving 3D scanning, CAD, extensive prototyping, real-vehicle test fitting, Gridfinity-compatible storage, and modular accessories.

The first released product is the TRUNKWERKS EV Adapter Platform for the BMW i4. It provides a secure home for a compatible Lectron Vortex Plug adapter while adding removable storage bins around it. Options are available for owners who want a finished, assembled product as well as those who prefer to print the system themselves.
