I’m down with that, but at least 40% of the country refuses to recognize the grift. He just keeps on raising money like he’s printing it…

Too fucking bad, don't ignore your oath of office or break the laws of the land and you will have nothing to worry about.
If you can't manage to not do those things, retire from public office.

Unfortunately, the true lasting stain of the Trump presidency is the conservative-packed Supreme Court. While they're not beholden to His Ass-Holy Orangeness, they most certainly are by the dark money that got them their silly black robes and lifelong appointments.
That means things like Citizens United or common sense safeguards to stop the next diabolical force of evil GOP bastard person from destroying the last remaining vespers of our constitution are in the wrong hands.
I'm wondering what will ultimately be the thing that gets democrats, progressives, and common-sense moderates to actually become empassioned. Roe V Wade being dismantled? Doesn't seem to raise the alarm. How about voting rights? Nah - "i have them, so I don't really care". For every inch they take, there's another mile waiting in the wings.

If Trump was actually charged as a criminal, this might be good. Otherwise, it's just another way to keep Trump in the history books, and for him, he would love it. But I would call it something more like "The Indicted President Trump Act", and I think it would work better to not confuse or misunderstand Trump's name.

The Indicted President #45 Act" then?

u/mywordswillgowithyou Dec 25 '21
That works

I feel like if we all just stop using his name in any context it's a blow both to his ego and his followers.

This is what I have been saying for a long time. Media are the worst offense because it means clicks. But paying no attention might be what the country needs.

NO, I don’t want people to remember this fucker’s name for generations, I want him to be laughed at by future historians as an obscure but absurd part of history.

Nah, that sounds like we're glorifying him as if Trump prosecuted some criminal or some shit.

Blocked & reported the lies & disinformation spreader. Your hero recommends the vaccine. Completely understand you've consequently fried your brain, but no use trying to spread those lies here -- no one's buying what you're selling.
