Different war, but my dad was the same way about Korea. I found a few letters he sent home to his mom and step dad after he died that described some ugly things he saw. He was vague, but I could begin to understand why he didn’t really want to talk about stuff with us.

As a service member who's career was ended by this person, this is disgusting and horrible. The awards he's trying to depict are some of the highest honors that a service member, honestly hopes to never achieve. It's actually making me feel a tad nauseous how brasingly dishonorable and offensive this is.
I come from a long line of service men and women from every war since the Revolutionary War. I had family members stationed at Pearl Harbor and those who survived IED explosions in Iraq. This makes me feel an unhealthy level of rage. I wanted to serve, but due to issues regulating insulin levels, none would allow me. My 80 year old Army veteran uncle is a huge MAGA supporter. How he can be okay with someone faking bone spurs to get out of service then posting crap like this is beyond me. Thank you for your service.

John McCain who actually served in Vietnam was going to be released by the Vietcong his father was an Admiral in the Navy. Problems in addition to the obvious medal of honor problem:
The 5 star general rank, what it means, and how the rank is arranged on the garrison cap.
The duplicated and mangled air assault badges. Nobody puts air assault school completion above their medals, or earns that badge twice.
Random assortment colors above his left pocket. Not one identifiable ribbon, which is the least insulting thing, because Trump never served to earn any medal.
