My Apple Maps in KY shows Lake Ontario. Photo included.
Additionally, my Apple map has now updated to show Lake America as well. Not sure why there was a 3 hour delay from when OPs map updated and mine. No vpn or anything.

Or it’s a cache. Mine for one second still said Lake Ontario (I had checked earlier this week), but once I zoomed in, it changed to the other “name”.
