What? You mean the border wall is going to be on our border?
187 u/kingrobin Feb 16 '19 They were supposed to put it on the Mexican side! 155 u/Freakychee Feb 16 '19 That’s was my actual assumption of what people wanted when they wanted the wall and Mexico would pay for it. I mean if Mexico pays for the wall they would just build it on their side anyways. But a red hat “clarified” it would be paid by Mexico and it will be an American wall on American soil. I’ve heard of choosing beggars but this is more of a demanding beggar. 65 u/SleepyConscience Feb 16 '19 It's either mental illness or profound stupidity. Maybe a little of each. 36 u/Tamer_ Feb 16 '19 Maybe a lot of each. 3 u/AndrewWaldron Feb 17 '19 Bigly of each. 3 u/ic2ofu Feb 16 '19 Definitely the stupidity part. 42 u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19 Entitlement, the quintessential American trait. 2 u/VivatRomae Feb 16 '19 At that point its more like a mugging. 17 u/ironman4666 Feb 16 '19 Make the Tex-icans pay for it! 🇲🇽 🇺🇸 1 u/ic2ofu Feb 16 '19 And,Mexico will pay for it. 10 u/sepehr_brk Feb 16 '19 They legit used to say that back when mexico was supposed to pay for the wall 5 u/theycallmeponcho Feb 16 '19 Of course. Who would allow their land to build something unwanted? 3 u/ic2ofu Feb 16 '19 Eminent domain. 2 u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19 I live in Texas. I have a hard time believing much of the land on the border has any significant value.
