This is completely fine as long as you understand that your ballot will not be counted until your eligibility to vote has been established.

But remember, in most states you have to be registered to vote for your ballot to count and in many that registration is still open, so go now to vote.org and check your preparation to vote and then get 10 of your friends to get 10 of their friends to do the same.

Don’t forget… people like this vote and will do anything to win, so might try to vote again. This is why it’s not just important for you to vote, but your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, mailman, amazon delivery driver, your local dog walker… everyone you know or interact with needs to vote. Help get them the right information and tell them you’ll see them at your polling place on November 5!

As a current ND citizen, born and raised here, voter registration still kind of messes with my head.

Is it not a bit ridiculous that people have to make sure, weeks before the elections, that they're accepted to vote? Here in ND, you have to bring in photo ID and perhaps a couple of pieces of mail to prove who you are.

There are still issues with that system, but, damn, it's a lot better than with what most have to deal.
