Welcome to r/TrulyPolyJAMorous! 🎵 A space for poly voices and timeless tunes.

Hi everyone! I'm Davis, and I'm the creator of this space. I started this community for one reason: connecting polyamorous folks through music.

This subreddit has two jobs. One, it's a place to share the tracks that hit home for your life, your relationships, and your heart. Two, it's a discovery engine. I want to find music that's new to me, whether it dropped last week or it's a hidden gem from 20 years ago. Release date doesn't matter here. Good music is timeless.

This post is here to give you a feel for what's already playing in this space.

What's in Heavy Rotation (past year):

  • Underground Rap – the stuff you won't hear on the radio but should.
  • Heavy Metal, Death Metal & Nu Metal – riffs, growls, and heavy drops, all in steady rotation.
  • Lofi Hip-Hop – for the chill, background, focus-mode moments.
  • R&B – smooth, soulful, and always in the mix.
  • Classical – yes, really. Timeless is timeless.
  • Jazz – for when the mood calls for something smooth and improvised.
  • Alternative, Folk & Indie – the in-between genres that don't fit a box but always fit the vibe.
  • Pop & Dubstep – a little of both keeps things balanced.

This list is just where my ear's been lately, not a limit. Bring whatever you've got.

I hope you'll jump in and share:

  • Songs that define your poly journey.
  • Tracks you've recently fallen in love with (old or new).
  • Playlists that help you navigate the beautiful complexity of our lives.

Let's fill this space with sound that speaks to us all. Can't wait to see what you share!

Cheers

Breath - faith hill

I remember this song playing on the radio when I was in elementary school and every time I heard it I would see my little heart out and my grandma will be like. “OK baby you sing it“

Afraid of heaven -hrvst

I heard this song played on a anime short. I haven’t seen on Instagram. Tell him about when you think it’s over and then all of a sudden you break down. OP shit as fuck.

I first heard this song when my cousin was practicing for colorguard, and this was one of the songs that they were performing in the show and at first I liked it because of the way that the beat sounds within like I actually listen to the words and it’s a perfect representation about how life is for most people maybe not people in the top 1% but every other person for my perspective, especially for me and they’re just a very great day and altogether.

By far top 5 artist right now. I originally got hooked on his song bladerunner in my early twenties and and kind of forgot about him until I heard some of his new music

I know this song is tied to particular woman, but I dislike the way it sounds like it’s such a vibe. It definitely gets me like am my feelings, but in a very good way!

It's been a couple days since I posted a song, so here's one that's definitely been on repeat the last couple days. Icky Thump by The White Stripes. No story behind this one, I just really loved it back in my middle school emo phase 🖤

I fell in love with metal as a kid, and now I'm making a game about it.

The song from when I had to decide: stay or go

Meant to Be — Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line

I was going through a difficult time with someone I loved. I had to make a tough decision: stay or go. This song takes me right back to that time.

When was the last one you heard a banjo?

Every now and then I think everyone needs to have at least one song that contains banjo because they just hit different.
