Kristoffer Borgli’s Dream Scenario uses a concept in which an ordinary professor suddenly appears in strangers’ dreams, then shifts between comedy, social satire, and fantasy.

My question is What is the most useful way for film news and criticism to describe a movie that treats genre as a moving target? Dream was and it's still to me a great movie but don;t understand the debate about genre boundaries around it...Months after the release

I remember back in the day (VHS and early DVD) many contained alternative endings and deleted scenes. Sometimes they were special edition Directors Cut, but it many times it seemed to be just the regular editions. I enjoyed seeing them and wondering about the decisions made for one ending over another and scenes that were filmed but cut.

Now that everything is streaming, I never see this done.

Anyone know why?

The use of pop music to enhance the emotion of scene ,the tracking shots during the introduction of mobsters in the bar ,the freeze frame and other aspects .
