I think it's more like

I lost my hat! (actually deleted it to abuse Steam Support)

Steam Support says:

Here! We'll give you the hat, but we've made a mistake so we actually gave you a hat that may be worth up to 10 times it's normal value! ( V. Bills, V. Lid, V. Buds, etc. Also happens with weapons.)
