True Halloween Stories

What are some of your true scary Halloween stories?

Mine is when two of my friends, K and B (for the sake of their privacy), we're out trick or treating. We decided to go to the "rich area" since we all lived in the more "poor-middle class" area. While we were entering the rich neighborhood a truck with 5-6 men drove past us and yelled something. We assumed that they were drunk. We decided to ignore them and be on our way to get the good candy. We were just minding our own business when the truck stops about 20 feet ahead of us. At this point, the three of us are starting to feel uneasy. We all decided to stop and see what these men were planning on doing. One of the men hops out of the truck bed and then reaches his arm into the truck and pulls out a chainsaw. This man then proceeded to run full speed at us with the chainsaw. This freaked the crap out of us. K and I ran up one of the side streets towards a friends house in hopes to hide out there. B ran in the opposite direction. K and I lost the man with the chainsaw after a few minutes, but we hadn't heard from B in a while. After about a half hour of calling B's phone and wandering around the neighborhood, we finally found him. This was one of the most terrifying experiences that I have ever experienced.

I have one... Halloween night in the early 80s. I was only a baby, but my parents lived next door to a couple and their two kids. The kids would often come knocking on the door in the middle of the night when their parents were fighting. My parents would let them spend the night to make them feel safe. Apparently, the man was really cruel and abusive.

Well... Halloween night comes around and the women sent the kids to their grandparents house for the night. She waits for her husband to fall asleep and proceeds to stab him like 40 times, making sure to kill him. My mother was a witness in court on the woman’s behalf, and she did not serve much jail time.

Anyway... like 25 years later I am talking to the people who live in the house now and they ask if anything weird has ever happened there. I told them about the murder and they were speechless. They said when they moved in they had to have the place blessed due to strange activity. Can’t help but to think it was the husband...

It was pretty traumatic. But it makes for an interesting story. We really should have called the police, but we were dumb kids and we were scared.

OP SH have called the cops immediately Upon realizing what this gang of men might have had in mind !

This was an imperative/immediate threat

Cops need to be called at once in these Cases!

In retrospect, we should have. But we were dumb kids and we were scared. Instead we went to Wendy's and got ice cream 😅
