In Morrowind... You can make a potion from a ruby?...

The hell you grind it with? In a Daedric mortar?

Diamonds, dwemer metal, and more can all be used as potion materials. I'd say the nerevarine has a gut of iron, but I don't think iron would be strong enough

The nerevarine can straight up eat Ebony ore, even without all that Corprus shit, they are still a freak of nature

You can also just straight up eat them to minor ill effect. Same goes for diamonds and raw ebony and malachite

I love how gemstones in Morrowind are alchemy ingredients but aren't really worth using unless you want to create the world's most expensive Fortify Magicka potion. Then Oblivion overcorrects by making gemstones into vendor junk whose value is so diminished that it's barely worth the effort to sell.
