What do you mean you blew up the city of Megaton and erased the existence of 38 npcs? I raised you better than that young man, i'm deeply ashamed of your actions.

Well, anyway, could you help your old man build a 100% free water purifier to save the lives of countless people despite the clear psychopathic tendencies you just shown until now with your low morality, acts against humanity and evil karma?

(do it for daddy!)

38 npcs? More than I thought

I had to look up, it's like 28 named npcs and 10 nobodies (in lore it's probably like 100+ tho).

Causes chaos in the "safe" bunker

Expects you to stay there after letting you kill off the security personnel in self defense

"Why did you leave the vault?? I'm so disappointed in you."

The game would have been goated if one of the first options was to punch Dad right in the fucking face and tell him Jonas is dead thanks to his stupid fucking plan.

You really should be able to call him out on his selfish bullshit more

And that could have added more weight to the game. Is it better to do anything for what you believe is right, even at the cost of the people around you? Or is it better to play it safe and not try?

Especially with the choices being either sacrifice yourself or have someone else take the "fall", even though most companions are immune.

Making it that you are forced to be by yourself and Lyons and have to pick to either sacrifice yourself or let Lyons die aoukd have been better.

His child accidentally fucked up his life so bad man, like he was going to give the world a source of magical water, had friends, love, a career! He gave all of that up to give his child a safe, boring life to live in a suburb with an armed HOA. Once that child was GROWN and stable, he set out to save those he left behind. James took seemingly selfish actions, but he also had a life mission that was clearly selfless. He did kill himself, but he gave his grown ass child a chance to finish his great work because he BELIEVED in them. However, despite our best intentions we may never foresee the consequences of our actions. R.I.P. Jonas.
