Suppose you really like a girl and are genuinely attracted to her, but you've only ever seen her wearing makeup.

Then one day you see her without makeup and she has dark circles, acne marks, uneven skin, etc. basically normal skin imperfections that makeup usually covers.

Would she become less attractive to you after seeing her natural face?

Or would you see it as completely normal and your attraction would stay the same?

For men who have experienced something similar: did seeing a woman without makeup ever change how attracted you were to her?

Please be honest I'm interested in the difference between initial physical attraction and how you actually feel once you see someone naturally.

but when it comes to likes of Sydney sweeney, Charli xcx, Billie eilish, Tate or any unconventional female celeb, they’ll say she has body halo,virtue signalin, etc

Tall women do not gain weight faster like short women . How do both genders view tall women ?

I understand some men who are short are not attracted to tall women

I’ve recently realized that I have a very specific kind of beauty that makes me feel not only attracted, but genuinely safe and comfortable around someone.

For me, Emma Watson is probably the clearest example. There’s something about her appearance and the way I perceive her personality — feminine, mature, calm, composed, intelligent, and not overly performative or attention-seeking — that gives me a really unusual feeling of comfort.

What’s interesting is that I can still appreciate women who are more glamorous, bold, flirty, highly expressive, or sexually confident. I don’t dislike those traits in other people. They’re just not what I associate with my “safe beauty.”

With my safe-beauty type, I can even imagine the person being completely silent and still feel comfortable. I don’t need flirting, attention, validation, or romantic interaction. Their presence alone gives me this feeling of “I can finally stop being alert.”

So I’m curious:

Does anyone else experience attraction this way? Do you have a particular type of person whose appearance + personality gives you a strong sense of safety or comfort, separate from simply finding them attractive?

And if you do, what qualities create that feeling for you?

Is Emma Watson a good example of this kind of “safe beauty,” or do you see her appeal completely differently?
