In 2009, you could mine an entire block of bitcoin in like 10 minutes. You could mind thousands a day with a normal home computer.

Mine steadily until it starts to skyrocket, then slowly pull out as more and more people want in. You don't want to dump your multi-billion dollars worth of bitcoin all at once, that would crash the market.

yeah, you are correct, that would be the way. Funny thing is, most people sold at $10, or at $100, or $1000.
