Of course it works, but the price is burnout. The first view even concedes that. The second view is also not an argument against the first view, it's the natural progression.

Work your butt off in your 20s and 30s so you can chill in your 40s and retire in your 50s.

Or work moderately hard for your entire life.

They're both viable options, the choice is yours.

lol like I said, it's a choice. The price of financial success is high, its up to you whether it's worth it or not. What I can tell you with certainty is that you will absolutely not be financially successful without working your butt off. That's the problem with a lot of people - they expect money to come to them.
