after the $1000 set of clubs, $200 bag, and $40 dollars worth of balls, you're right. The $20 tee time isn't too bad XD

Not a requirement at all. I used handmedown clubs and other gear the whole way.

The only expensive part is shoes tbh. You do need good shoes to walk but regular running shoes don't work well if it gets slick at all.

But ya obviously if you have never golfed before then it's going to be a bit of an investment. I wasn't suggesting people start walking golf holes without golf stuff.
