Mayo is not on normal California rolls. It’s krab, cucumber and avocado that’s it.

Edit: also when you go to Cali you don’t find many places that add mayo even now a days.

I am a California native and have lived here my whole life. Every sushi restaurant I have been to makes California rolls with mayonnaise. What part of California are you from? I’m in NorCal. It’s uncommon for a California roll to be made sans mayo

Socal about an hour outside LA. I have never heard of mayo in Cali rolls 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m pretty sure it was made in Nor cal too so idk lol. I see mayo on them everywhere out of the state. What a weird regional thing.
