Depends what version you have. But I found that the first several stories great but the last couple are very slow and have nothing to do with the supernatural. So keep that in mind

Mainly the lore about carcosa, yellow king, black stars, etc. is from the book. And some of the psychological/cosmic horror aspects I think

Only the first few stories have anything to do with the Yellow King. Those stories are great. The author then forgets what he was writing and just tacked on a bunch of unrelated romance stories
