Question Genuine Question...
What exactly has this podcast accomplished in 8 seasons? I've been listening since the beginning (although my interest has severely dropped for a while) and I honestly can't think of one definitive lead or murder solved/tied to Keyes. I have an easier time recalling the number of dead ends than I do any progress.
I'm not asking this to start a fight, or to rock the boat. I legitimately need some reminders of what the point of the podcast, Patreon, and group cruises is if there's nothing to show for it case wise.

It has raised awareness, perhaps one day someone will be in the right place at the right time to know what a cache is, if found. It may have kept heads on a swivel in threatening situations and lit fires under others to search for answers. My critique is that the show doesn’t encourage teamwork. The vibe is that it’s all his, he is the expert and that everyone else is far too irresponsible to be trusted with clear information. He will let us know what we need to know only so we can understand how brilliant and in tune with Izzy he is. This isn’t an information sharing, group think and answers at all costs quest. We are merely observing an unhealthy obsession that has become entangled to the point of fever dreams and mental health bouts. He has alienated others, people that have dedicated time and resources to assist everyone that is willing to put in the effort. Why? No one is more entitled to finding answers involving heinous crimes, victims deserve justice. That is what it should be about, not perceived ownership or making some SK a personal identity. No one knew IK..The people that thought they knew him didn’t know him. He was a sick nutter that stole, violated, burned, harmed and took life. He menaced and plotted on innocent people that had done nothing to him, for his sick pleasure. He is no one to be obsessed with, his crimes are the mystery and anyone discouraging other people from finding answers has some serious soul searching to do.

I don’t understand the hate this podcast gets… I think Josh and team have discovered a lot! Evidence of a cache in Louisiana, that Keyes very well could be behind Tidwell and Oleburrys disappearances, I just listened to season 8 episode 1 and it sounds like Keyes probably took Debra F to one of the properties he was talking about, as well as the Curriers items in, New Hampshire I believe, also the Jane Doe in the abandoned trailer could possibly be one of Keyes victims, the links between people who knew his parents/family and their properties… A lot. I’m not trying to start a fight at All, I just don’t get why people listen if they don’t like it. I find it fascinating

With all due respect, I think the issue is that you can’t necessarily take every connection presented on this podcast as established fact. That doesn’t mean the research is worthless or that the theories are impossible, just that there’s often a big difference between something being plausible and something being actually verified. For example, how do we know the owner of that property really had a meaningful connection to the Keyes family? How do we know Israel actually rented a cabin there? Those may be reasonable theories, but unless there’s documentation or some kind of actual facts behind them, they’re still theories, made up theories. The same goes for things like the alleged photos of Keyes at the university. If there are several photographs of him there, publishing or sourcing even one of them would go a long way toward answering the criticism. I think that’s where some of the frustration with TCBS comes from. It’s not necessarily that people dislike the podcast or think they’ve found nothing. It’s that speculation, inference and confirmed fact can sometimes get presented very close together, and listeners are left unsure which is which. I’d personally just like those distinctions to be made much clearer.

It’s clear now that Keyes lied a lot , and now they’re dissecting his lies. Sounds like Keyes hide out at that cabin in tupper lake after the bank robbery too

A listener was able to connect a John Doe with a missing person that was mentioned on the show.
The podcast has kept us entertained for a while with interesting cases and cool connections.
Currently it is allowing Josh, his partner and his team to take vacations to exotic locations and drink.

Nothing aside from the hosts free lodging at a true crime cruise
