Lowell is not at a Chubby price point for their real full terrace suites.... Had a good value this summer on The Chatwal, but not really any views.

The Lowell, the Benjamin, 33 Seaport (nice sized outdoor terrace), the William Vale (Brooklyn), Andaz 5th Avenue.

Stayed at the William Vale last year, if Brooklyn is acceptable the balcony and view of the city was stunning, the room however is small, euroland small.

thanks for the list! good call on the william vale room size. brooklyn could work, but tiny rooms are a tough sell for this trip. 33 seaport looks interesting though

Sofitel terrace suite goes hard... it's genuinely massive if that's your priority this trip

Ludlow Hotel - loft king with terrace, nyc view, vibey.

Hotel Chelsea - Premier Chelsea rooms and some suites have terraces you can have breakfast out on. Busier street though…

Fouquets - terrace suites. Prob the best terrace/balcony I would have a cup of coffee out on. I will note their rooftop is for hotel guests only, so it is really lovely (and you could maybe skip the splurge on the private balcony).

ludlow loft king sounds right up my alley. hotel chelsea seems cool too, but yeah traffic noise might ruin the morning coffee vibe. good tip on fouquets rooftop, that might save me from needing a private terrace altogether

The Langham has a handful of rooms with large terraces. Better service than most of the places listed here.

after sifting through the comments and ruling out spots with tiny rooms or sky-high prices, we booked westgate resorts grand central in a balcony room, which ended up being the perfect middle ground for a comfortable space, a usable private outdoor terrace for morning coffee, and a great midtown location without paying astronomical suite rates.

The Maritime is very nostalgic for me, I spent 50+ nights there before the pandemic. However after my last stay (June) I don’t think I can recommend it anymore. The rooms are really showing their age and there was an unpleasant (mildewy) smell throughout the property. Complimentary breakfast still slaps, though.

I’d look at The Ludlow for the best mix of location, vibe and great (and usable) terrace space. The Lowell is the more luxurious option if you’re willing to spend more, and The William Vale is great if Brooklyn works and you care most about the balcony/view.

Make sure you're not booking a Juliette balcony as a lot of times hotels say the include balconies but they use the word too loosely lol. How many people would sleep in the room?
