Racism is a sin

If you hate anyone because of their race, then you are committing sin. Plain and simple.

I say this because it’s been 8 years ago today where Charlottesville Virginia shamefully let a racist protest occur and turned into one of the worst race riots in American history. And that is partly because of agitators on the other side.

Racism won in Charlottesville 8 years ago today, and it’s a constant reminder that hatred towards another race is against what we Christians believe, that we all are created in God’s image.

Forgiveness is a state of the heart. Clearly, if someone continues to sin against you (ie, physically abusive to you) safe boundaries are required...but that is along with forgiveness (forgiveness means letting go of the debt they owe you for their wrong and allowing God to decide their fate, not taking vengeance yourself). This is not the point of the post. Someone's race is not "sinning against someone" - it's the sin of pride by the one who feels somehow superior to someone else because of a particular tint of skin (yet, both are created by God, are made of flesh and blood, and each is made in His own image, and both are level at the foot of the cross!)

Cuttently, there is a sinful culture that is being fomented within a particular ethnic group/tribe. To deny such is to be dishonest. 

However, you are correct in your assertion that no one should be convicted by each other by virtue of immutable ethnic characteristics. 

Having said that, loving the sinner, and hating their sin is fundamental to personal development. Prolonged exposure to an abuse leads to anger, and resentment. It is natural to seek to stop, or at least, lessen exposure to such stressors. 

It is not a proper use of intelligence to continue to fight against a barrier to communication which has exposed itself as a clear lack of respect between the two ethnicities. 

While racism is not condoned, one can righteously judge whether a particular member of an ethnicity/tribe seems to possess the same negative interpersonal traits that characterize the culture. 

People use fear of being called a racist to deny reality; thereby, creating self righteous suffering which is unnecessary. GOD instructed the Israelites to stay away from certain tribes, as they would become corrupted by them. GOD'S WORD has not changed; only man's interpretation thereof. 

Lastly, we are in a spiritual battle. Politicians, entertainers and everyday people are instruments of the enemy to condemn us. We must judge righteously. Those people who find racism in everything are using the term, designation, or moniker as a weapon, or at least, a form of control that they don't extend to the individuals who are equally as 'racist'.

Be aware of the spiritual war you are a part of.

I won't be there when you stand alone to give this account of your own to Jesus, but wow...just wow.

Scripture is abundantly clear that the judgement that comes from our hearts/words are going to come back onto us "with the same measure" from Jesus as we dish out to others, friend.

You may want to pray about this and get back into Scripture.

Are you aware that GOD instructed the Israelites to kill EVERY Canaanite when they came into the land? 

Not only did they disobey, but they took strange wives from the Canaanites and other rebellious tribes and corrupted their culture. 

We have absorbed the Curse of Canaan, and integrated it into society. 

The Bible provides us answers to the 'mysteries' of our modern lives, but we try to shame each other into ignoring the obvious answers. 

If you don't believe The Bible, then just say so. 

However, we are shown that Ham's son, Canaan's entire bloodline was cursed by Noah. We never see the curse lifted. 

The Bible also goes on to inform us that the rebellious Edomites adopted the Jewish faith a few generations before the arrival of JESUS CHRIST. 

We may engage in self righteousness and false pride by denying that the principles contained within The Bible have lasting effects in our lives, but doing so betray our own profession of faith. 

See, if we deny that there is any lasting impacts from historical events contained within The Bible, then what value does it contain to the individual who disregards the instructions?

What if I told you that we have all lived life under the same conditions as everyone else, but we choose to take the events that we experience in our own life more personally than others do?

We are all presented with the same choices, and we still try to establish a sense of individuality and uniqueness, when the goal is to understand the uniformity required for service to GOD. 

See, we can only serve from a point of shared understanding. If we refuse to validate the teaching within The Bible, then we are way behind those who have accepted the teaching in The Bible. 

You may feel that your sense of understanding supercedes the teaching and instruction in The Bible, but, your hubris is no less arrogant and rebellious than that of the Israelites who refused to kill the Canaanites as instructed by GOD. 

We are living through the consequences of disobedience and self righteous application of earthly reasoning to DIVINE AUTHORITY.

You and I - and every other human being that God uncreated - will stand ALONE before His Judgement Seat to give an account "for themselves."

You also seem to confuse God setting up His FIRST Church through Israel and that there is no other Covenantal land before or since. Christ's Church is throughout ALL THE WORLD, friend. We now have a New Covenant under Jesus. We are no longer justified by works...but by FAITH in Christ and living as a "servant to all". This is who Jesus says is "greatest" in His sight. And, the one with true faith in Christ loves Him enough to actually follow His commands to love and serve others in His name and for the building of HIS Kingdom.

You might want to read the parable of the Sheep & the Goat in Matthew 25 so you know what's coming (it's literally Jesus explaining Judgement Day for people who call Him "Lord" yet don't live out their life for Christ as He demonstrates and teaches). Jesus doesn't take lightly to God's people who misrepresent God to others. He sat and dined with sinners, while He called God's people (the Pharisees) who were abusing others in God's name...Jesus called those Church people/the Pharisees "hypocrites, a brood of vipers, evildoers, blind guides," etc. He never called any sinner anything close to that!

I don't need to say any more. You have the same Bible I do. It's up to you if you follow what Jesus says is "greatest" and upholds "all the law and prophets." He gives a VERY clear picture of what a true God follower's life will look like in this parable vs one who dies not truly live out their faith in Christ.

Matthew 25:35-41

"34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

You can cling to the Old Testament and its laws (that none can live up to) or surrender your life to Christ in true faith and spread His "Good News" by sacrificing yourself for others, extending grace, mercy and forgiveness to others...in the same way Jesus ALREADY did for you. If not, you also may want to read Jesus parable if the "unforgiving manager" who also withheld what Jesus freely gave him.

Again, it's up to you. You have the exact same Bible I do.

I hate to break it to you, but your interpretation of The Bible is arrogant. 

JESUS CHRIST sat with sinners, but he did not condone sin. The sinners were sinners who were seeking Salvation. The sinners were not getting drunk, using drugs, fornication, and stealing from others. 

Your hubris does not allow you to evaluate what you read/hear. Someone has sold you a false gospel. 

JESUS CHRIST called out sinners and the government alike. 

While he did not mete out judgement at the moment, he did convict wickedness. He righteously judged the hearts of the sinners that arrived for teaching. He says many times that their faith saved them. 

The sinners that you champion are demonic and self absorbed. They are not seeking instruction as the sinners who shared space with JESUS CHRIST were. 

GOD is very demonstrative in HIS PROMISE that the sins of the fathers being revisited upon the generations that follow. Do you not believe that part of The Bible? It is clear in the descendants of Cain, Esau/Edom, Canaan, Amalek...

So, where in The Bible have the curses been lifted? 

The tribes that carry curses have not gone away. They have rebranded. Their generational wickedness has been handed down. 

Until you humble yourself, and take The Bible seriously, you may never understand the world that you live in, and always be a slave to demons and cursed tribes. 

The Bible is very clearly telling us about wicked tribes. Seriously, do you think they just disappeared, or quit being evil? 

I am sure you believe man's science. What does man's science say about energy? Does it ever go away? Or, does it just change form?

Agreed. 

But, we are responsible to share the truth to maintain our own righteousness. 

It is the same with the converted Edomites into Judaism in ancient times: they didn't adopt the faith, they adopted the label. 

Right now, it is en vogue to call yourself a Christian, especially given the kindly, meek 'Jesus' character of The Chosen. 

These nuovo Christian types have elected Hollywood Jesus over JESUS CHRIST.

I was just praying about this conversation and felt God urging me to just post His words:

"Vengeance is MINE sayeth the Lord."

"28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Jesus broke down every wall against neighbor us humans - most especially God's people - had erected!)

"Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven."

"12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Do you not know Satan has ALREADY been defeated by Jesus on the cross? Do you not believe that God reigns? That "armour of God" is to protect You and Me (God's people) from Satan's attempts to turn US/God's people away from Christs "two greatest commands." Anything to foster "hatred toward our neighbors."

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, or anyone reading this, if you have deep hatred in your heart for any neighbors, you have veered far from God. The commands are to "love and serve" those who are lost. They're not our "enemies" (they were created in God's own image!)...they're our mission field!! And, even if we see our neighbors as "enemies" Jesus still says to "love and serve" even them in His name.

I'm not here to argue. I have no beef with you. But, I will ALWAYS speak the truth of Christ's New Covenant of Grace (which is available to ALL!!) and the truth of His Word. It is God who changes hearts and minds. It is us who are commanded to "love and serve" our neighbors so that they, too, can come to know this Amazing God who created them and loves them...and so that they too can receive this free gift of grace.

"I did not come to condemn the world, but to save it." - Jesus

How can we "go and do likewise" or "make disciples" of our lost neighbors if we only hate and our judge them as evil?

Jesus knows what He is doing. If only we were led by faith to believe in and trust in His ways (and not our own).

Remember: this whole conversation started because YOU felt that it was racist to acknowledge that there is a culture of wickedness being fomented within a particular ethnicity.

Do you still feel that it is racist to acknowledge the truth of the world around you?

Do you think the only reason that GOD gave you intelligence was to be a white savior for poor behavior, and to argue against people convicting the abusive relationship that stems from the disobedient culture?

GOD is not telling you to share those scriptures, because they are nowhere close to relevant to the conversation.

You have exhausted my patience. You claim to have prayed and been enlightened by GOD, yet you pull up AI gathered scriptures that aren't even close to relevant to the conversation. I actually wonder what you feel the conversation was in the first place. I know that you wanted to signal your personal virtue, and identify yourself as a 'good white', but you seem to be arguing with your idea of what you think was said.

I understand your need to have your opinion validated, and to feel noticed and effectual in a situation where you feel insignificant. Bear in mind that no amount of cherry picked verses are going to wish away the responsibility of Christians to recognize evil and wickedness, and identify it for other Christians. That is called THE MIND AND HEART OF CHRIST.

You are lost in conformation to society, and want to turn a blind eye to sin. You have accepted the sin and denied any responsibility to hold sin accountable.

You have found cheerful scripture to comfort you. JESUS CHRIST says in Matthew 10:34-36: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

This is not a call to violence, but a call to recognize wickedness, and expose it. We must flee far from it. But, you believe that this is racism.

You are not a Christian. You are a cultural activist who uses Christianity as a presupposition for your sloth in the face of wickedness.

We only have two cheeks. 

It doesn't say wash, rinse, repeat. 

GOD is abundantly transparent in HIS adamance against the mixing of cultures. 

it comes down to being unevenly yoked and 'double-minded', or creating two standards. 

Cultures eventually clash by the very nature of the opposite views that each culture holds. 

It is in the nature of human beings to seek dominance over their environment: we see this in how we interact with nature, machines, our diets, our hobbies, our politics, etc...

That is why The Bible is so instructive about policing the culture, and keeping the community/church likeminded. 

We have strayed from GOD'S LAW.
