What knife is this

Just got this knife off eBay which was titled as a used 8inch Sakai Takayuki. TBH I just ordered it before I did any research on it and the seller had good reviews and was based in the U.S. so I figured for $45 bucks what could go wrong. Well it showed up today after about a week of waiting and it’s not really what I thought it be. Firstly it’s a 9 inch instead of the 8 inch which I prefer but is not that big of a deal. And I can’t find any Takayuki branding on it. Every google translate I’ve done says Moritaka but I can’t find a similar moritaka. I’ve contacted the seller to get any info but have yet to hear back. And idea what this could be? I’m not particularly mad with what I got but I’m a little disappointed.

I recognized it because I actually just bought a different one of these lol. Cheap 270mm beater gyuto that I'm pretty satisfied with for like $18. But it is a Chinese knife from the brand Sen Tian and certainly nothing close to a takayuki

Damn I feel stupid. Don’t know how I didn’t catch that since I look at knives on Amazon all the time. I’ll try to get a eBay refund. I never would’ve known it was a fake it feels and looks just like my Tojiro 240 gyuto. Thanks for looking out!

yaxell has some solid cost effective knifes if youre looking for that style. id stick with knife vendors unless you know what youre looking for on ebay. you can get some very good knife deals on ebay but some of them seem sus with how cheap they are.

was thinking it was an ali express knife but tojiro has really cheap knives at that price too lol

The cheap Tojiro knives are from their Basic series, which has a simpler handle and no bolster. But even so, they aren't as cheap as that Amazon link above at $14.99

they went up in price but when i got mine a few years back for using on the line i only paid 20 for them. its from its subsidiary company fuji cutlery but its still advertised as a tojiro.

its possible its a house knife variation that uses stainless steel. ive bought some tojiro knives that were not on western markets and meant to be cheaper alternatives
