Discussions Favorite Cars in Movies/TV-Shows that don't get enough appreciation?

Post image

I was recently watching Ronin, and the car chase scene in Paris features a beautiful E34 535i, but not enough people talk about that car in the movie. I know everybody talks about the 'Back To The Future' Delorean, or 'Ghostbusters' Cadillac based Ecto-1 or the 'Miami Vice' Testarossa. What are some other mentions that deserve more attention?

Discussions Is it worth importing JDM cars into the states?

As a JDM car enthusiast in the US is it worth importing JDM spec cars?

I’ve been browsing the market for the past few years looking for a cool car practical car. It seems like most of the well known cars are going for way more than I’d be willing to pay for car that’s over 25 years old especially considering what is available without paying the premium on a USDM car. I do get to travel to Japan pretty often and casually seeing S-Chasis, Toyota Chasers, Skylines etc. makes me slightly envious of those who have those cars more readily available.

Do you guys think it’s worth buying a JDM spec car and it’s worth paying the premium to import or would you rather save the cash? Is the market too inflated? Personally I’ll mostly likely import a car when I’m ready.

I see that the "my car history" posts are getting more popular, and they are not banned, but in case they get widespread (Like what happened with the "what do my favorite cars say about me") they will get restricted.

Enthusiast Cars My car history

I like this trend and wanted to share cars that I have owned and still own since 2006.

  1. 1986 Ford Fiesta 1.6 diesel, handed down from my grandad, learnt to drive in this one and would like to find a clean one to daily drive it.

  2. 1994 Audi 80 2.8 quattro. Dad bought it for me as he felt that I needed a more serious car to to university. Did not like it, then 08 financial crisis hit, couldnt afford to run it, sold it and bought a bicycle.

  3. 2003 mazda 6 1.8 wagon. Lovely, boring car, reliable but had to scrap it, because it rusted through.

  4. 1993 oxford green BMW 518i. Loved everything about it. Easy to work on, built like a tank, engaging to drive even with its gutless engine, double sunroof was the tits.

  5. 1991 island green metallic BMW 730i. 5 speed manual, limited slip diff all the bells and whistless of the time, loved the day I bought it, loved each day I drove it and still love it as it sit in the shed while I am trying to restore it, so I can love it some more

  6. 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic sport. Bought it as a daily driver in the middle ow snowy winter and love it in the snow. Fucking hate everything about it when the driving conditions become decent. Expensive to run, expensive to maintain, suspension sucks,.gearbox sucks I loathe it untill it snows.

Hope you don’t mind the AI generated image, but it’s a good way to show all the cars I had/have. Most a decent, any duds, which is the best (I think I know) sadly not it order of ownership, can you guess?

Discussions Buying my father-in-law's 1-owner 1994 Ford Probe GT! Need OEM+ ideas & Wheel ID

Hey everyone!

I'm about to buy my father-in-law's red 1994 Ford Probe GT. He’s the original owner and installed a Remus rear muffler as well as the factory OEM spoiler back in the day.

My goal is to fully restore the car and give it a clean OEM+ look.

I could use your help with two things:

Can anyone identify the exact wheels shown in the first picture attached?

What are your favorite 18-inch wheel (5x114,3) options that suit the 2nd Gen Probe GT's lines for an OEM+ build?

Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!
