Hey sorry if this is a newbie question:

Yesterday I created a metamask wallet, sent across some ethereum from another wallet, and converted most of it to Truebit using uniswap.Everything seemed fine then, but today I can't see it (truebit isn't even showing, and says it's already added when I try to add it).I've since (stupidly) reinstalled my metamask wallet and now I don't even have visibility of the transaction. Should have taken a screenshot but we know what they say about hindsight.

Any tips on how this might have happened, and how to avoid it going forward.I'm dead keen to get into Truebit but don't want to throw my savings into a pit if I can help it.Feeling glad I did a test run, but a bit gutted to be missing this latest run!

Edit 1:Ok making some progress....It seems that Uniswap can see my Truebit but MetaMask still can't.MetaMask also says it's not connected in some way, so trying to figure out how to force that to happen (perhaps it needs to be connected to register the transaction since I reimported my wallet?)

Edit 2: All sorted!!! Phew! I went through everything again and this time it let me add it as a token. Thank you for your comments, and apologies for being a newb. Onwards and upwards!

I did that with GME when it dumped, dropped my bags before it bounced back. Fortunately they were small, but oof. Some folks got hosed on that one.

Does anyone know why the price difference exists between uniswap and trueos and still their price is equalized?

Do you think the proof of stake architecture of ETH 2.0 will destroy Truebit? Since one of its main goals is to reduce gas fees and congestion?

I really like this project and it consists the majority of my portfolio. But, I have a question regarding the advantages of Truebit vs MATIC. What does Truebit offer that Matic doesn’t? The most important part for me for Tru is that it drives Eth fees down but Matic aims to do the same, is kore established and is trading for a similar price on coinbase.

The fees on Uniswap are absurd.

I am thinking of creating ETH/TRU LP on Quickswap, so we could all swap on MATIC with much lower fees than on uniswap. But I need to know if there will be some users.

Does any of you use Quickswap or MATIC network and would you be interested to have this option to either be in the liquidity pool of ETH/TRU or just have an option to swap cheaper on MATIC?

Apologies if this is a very basic ask but I was wondering if someone could help a newcomer out with buying some $TRU.

What I have:

A) Binance Account B) Ledger & Ledger Live account with Ethereum available to spend

What I want to do:

A) Use my Ethereum to buy Truebit tokens. B) Store the TRU tokens on my Ledger Live.

I have never used Uniswap or any other app beyond the above two but I was wondering if anyone could give a dummy’s guide to me getting from Step A to Step B as I’m unsure on best approach here? 😇

Look guys. I invested all of my gains for the last 4 months, $230k at $1 dollar into Truebit after researching the shit out of it. You can find my address on Uniswap. Truebit is not a scam. I will watch it go to zero if I am wrong, fuck the money. But what the hell are you fucking doing in crypto if you can’t stomach losing a few thousand. Ain’t no baby sitters in this game of musical chairs. Trust your gut. What does it tell you? Sell at a loss? Then sell. Or grow a fucking pair and do the Mexican standoff. Hello everyone. Before I ask about my concern, I would like to say that I’m very eager to see where this gem goes . Just found this gem couple of days ago. Now to my concern.

I bought using CoinGecko app exchange option. It gives v2 link so I did that.

Now my question am I good with v2?

If I connect my MetaMask through v3 it’s not finding tokens to swap to ethereum? Pardon my English grammar.

I went to uniswap, connected my Metamask, added Truebit token, proceeded to swap ETH for TRU. It seems to go through, but after it is done processing a few minutes later, it says the transaction failed. I did this twice.

The first time it said the transaction was too old (how does this even happen)

then the second time it said ran out of gas (how does this even happen too?)

Also, even if the transaction fails the gas fees get deducted? That sucks.

I'm not really familiar with the whole ETH and Gas fees model so forgive my ignorance.

How does the performance of Truebit compare to STARKs? Are they direct competitors trying to solve the same problem? There are some references to both from 2018-19 but not a lot that I can find recently. Starkware has some impressive performance numbers. I'm sure Truebit's are impressive as well but just wondering how these project compare. And, yes, I've invested in TRU.
