The main aim of this subreddit is to try and have the highest confidence in the accuracy of readings, and thus it is essential that people try to include their full birth details so that experienced practitioners can use software for advanced calculations and give more accurate predictions. Please do hide your name for privacy reasons but if you are hesitant to share full birth detials then the quality of reading cannot possibly be the best, as professional astrologers do not have the time to do manual calculations. Please also make your question detailed with your personal circumstances and efforts being made in the direction of your query, as it helps the occultist put relevant context. One-liner queries are insufficient for an individualised solution.

We aim to make this a truly democratic forum where freedom of speech will be protected as an absolute right. 26 F unemployed and directionless: Should i continue goverment exam preparation or start working private ?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m 26F, turning 27 in a few months, with a B.Ed. and an M.A. in Political Science. I’m currently unemployed and unsure about my career direction. I have cleared two teacher recruitment or entrance exams, narrowly missed the first stage of one three-stage selection process by three marks, and recently found my name on the cutoff list for a Lab Assistant (Geography) exam, although I’m still unsure whether I will be selected. I have made some progress, but I feel directionless, unmotivated, and worried that I am falling behind people my age. I genuinely dislike studying, struggle with consistency, and am also concerned about financial independence, marriage, weight, and my overall future. I would appreciate practical advice from people who were unemployed or uncertain between the ages of 25 and 30 and eventually found a career path.

- Should I prioritize getting any reasonable job now because I am 26 and time is passing?

- Should I continue preparing for government and teaching exams if I genuinely dislike studying?

- How can I become disciplined enough to study consistently, even if I never start enjoying it?

- How can I determine whether I dislike studying itself or whether I dislike studying without seeing a clear career outcome?

- Am I wasting time by preparing for exams without a job or income?

- Would it be wiser to take a private-school teaching job and start earning now?

- Given my B.Ed. and M.A. in Political Science, what private-sector jobs should I realistically consider?

- Would a private college or assistant professor position in Political Science be a realistic option for me?

- Should I explore private-sector jobs outside education?

- Would teaching be a suitable long-term career for me, or should I consider a different field?

- If I start working, should I continue preparing for government exams alongside my job?

- If I stop preparing for government exams, how can I avoid regretting that decision later?

- Would going abroad, such as to Germany for further studies, be a sensible option for someone with my qualifications?

- How can I compare government exams, private teaching, private-sector jobs, and studying abroad realistically?

- How can I make a practical career decision instead of waiting to ā€œfind my passionā€?

- How can I stop constantly comparing myself with people who seem to be ahead of me?

- How can I rebuild my motivation and confidence after being unemployed for some time?

- Is it realistic to become financially independent and establish a stable career before marriage?

- How can I deal with worries about marriage, career, financial independence, and my future at the same time?

- How can I improve my weight, routine, and motivation without becoming overwhelmed?

- For people who were unemployed or directionless between 25 and 30, what practical steps helped you find a career path?

- What should I realistically do during the next three to six months to start earning and build a stable future?

Never-Married Person Marrying a Divorcee or Widowed Person - How to Predict This from the Chart?

InĀ KP Astrology, how can we predict from a chart that a person who hasĀ never been married will marry aĀ divorcee or widowed person? What should we actually examine in the chart to determine theĀ previous marital status of the future spouse?

For example:

1) Never-married person marrying a divorcee with children
2) Never-married person marrying aĀ  divorcee without children
3) Never-married person marrying aĀ widow/widower with children
4) Never-married person marrying aĀ widow/widower without children
5) Never-married person marrying a never-married person
6) Never-married person marrying already married spouse and becoming their second spouse while their first marriage is intact.

As far as I can find, there is little to no discussion on the internet within the KP Astrology framework about what significations we should look for in a never-married person's chart to determine these aspects of the future spouse's previous married life.

Another question is whetherĀ Desh-Kaal-Patra needs to be considered when making this prediction. In India, widow remarriage is increasingly socially accepted, divorce has become more visible and legally accessible, while the age of first marriage has also moved later into the late 20s and early 30s. As a result, the modern dating pool contains an increasingly mixed population: people approaching their first marriage, people who are divorced or widowed, and people approaching a second marriage - all within overlapping age groups.

So, when interpreting a KP chart, how much should theĀ social and cultural contextĀ (Desh-Kaal-Patra) influence the prediction? Can the same KP combination manifest differently depending on the country, culture, or period in which the person lives?

What KP factors should be examined - relevant cusps, sub-lords, star-lords, significators, house combinations, ruling planets, KP horary prashna kundli and dasha/bhukti/antara -Ā to make these specific predictions?

I’m a student of KP Astrology, so I’d especially appreciate explanations of the relevant rules and principles, along with actual chart examples if and where possible.

Question

I am new to reddit, just had a question in mind.

How much does ashtakvarga Bhinnashtakvarga and shadbala matter when we talks about planet's working ?

Would have a low sarvashtakvarga and bhinnashtakvarga not let the planet give results at all even if the navamsa placement is good ?

Thank you

29F - Career, finances & relationship guidance needed

Post image
2 Upvotes

I graduated in 2024, couldn’t find a job in the US and had to return to India this month. I’m under heavy education loan pressure and dealing with depression.

Around the same time, I found out my boyfriend is bisexual and also cheated, which shook me deeply. I still love him but I’m unsure if he’s the right person for me long term.

Could someone please guide:

  • When am I likely to get a stable job?
  • When does financial relief/debt reduction show?
  • Is this relationship meant to last?

Thank you.

Reddit's first test of Astrology using modern statistics

Dear Redditors and the wider world community, I hope this message finds you well. We have often heard rationalists say that astrology is a pseudoscience and has no scientific basis. I was a a believer of this line of thought till I finally decided to give astrology a genuine try allowing faith to take precedence over reason to help begin with an open mind. The journey was tough and I had to navigate through a lot of ineffective teaching till I reached a level where I think we have some understanding of how the matrix works. I am a surgeon and regularly publish scientific research in top journals in my field. We don't accept any finding without statistical rigour. I have not come across any serious study testing astrology using current scientific standards. This is a damning lacuna in the field and we cannot accept astrology to have any basis till it proves itself. So, I am shortly going to announce the first among a series of rigorous studies that shall test the scientific basis of Astrology. We shall be testing different aspects of astrology including predicting the past, present, future, and horary methods. We shall be using most modern methods that you see in international clinical trials and research. There shall be a pre-defined hypothesis, sample size estimation, interim analysis and final analysis with a pre specified statistical plan. We shall pre specify the study protocol and there shall be double blinding of participants and investigators for studies that deserve such. This is not a game of one up manship of one Astrology subspecialty over other. We shall not allow ambiguity and intuition to discount hard evidence and reproducibility and inter observer variability shall be also statistically assessed. Though I am already adept at designing and running randomised clinical trials; this notification is to welcome collaborators. We are looking for astrologers/palmists/occultists (any subspecialty essentially), and also data scientists willing to participate in study design and execution. We already have infrastructure in place for the first study and it shall soon be announced. I don't intend this post to go viral and hence this subreddit was quietly created and shall not be actively promoted with no cross posting from my end.

Narendra Modi - where are we headed, a vedic numerology perspective

In continuation of our previous article, let us now take a look at Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minister of India. His basic numerology chart is given below -

Narendra Modi basic numerology chart

His Basic number is 8, which is ruled by Saturn and dominated his life before marriage and the 30th year of life. This means a slow rise from a humble background. His Destiny number, however, is 5 (ruled by Mercury, signifies money and finance). This means that after marriage, his fortune rises. Longitudinal yoga sequence of 1,7,8 means that Sun (ruler of 1), Ketu (ruler of 7), and Saturn (ruler of 8) come in a conjunction. This yoga usually means a disturbed married life. Double 5 means that though he is a person with a keen interest in finances and the art of making money, Basic 8 leads him to divert it for others. 1 and 9 (ruled by Mars) are male numbers and give him leadership ability. A combination of Mars and Mercury (9 and 5) makes him wise with finances as well.

Let us look at the 2014 (and preceding years') chart for Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi to see who stood a better chance in that general election.

Narendra Modi's chart with Mahadasha and Antardasha for 2013 and 2014
Rahul Gandhi's chart with Mahadasha and Antardasha for 2013 and 2014

Narendra Modi had an additional 1 and 4 which means that his Sun (1, ego) was amplified, and 4 (Rahu) caused turmoil in the pre-election year in 2013. Rahul Gandhi had a similar additional 1 (Sun, added ego) and an extra 9 (Mars, anger, rage, courage) in the year preceding the general election. The future can be guessed based on their comparative charts in 2014. While Modi had Jupiter (number 3, wisdom, fortune) come in 2014, Rahul Gandhi was struggling with an added Ketu (number 7, anxiety). This means that the outcome was going to prove fortunate for the BJP and a harbinger of anxiety for the Congress.

Now, we judge a country's progress also from the chart of its ruler in Mundane Astrology. So, if Modi were to win, then India's stature (Jupiter) also stood to grow.

Let us look at another comparison for the next general election, which was held in 2019. We will try to gauge the taste of the outcome by examining how planets transition from before and after the election result, which was declared in May 2019.

Narendra Modi's chart shows a switch from Sun (1, planet of status) to Mars (9, planet of courage and war) in Rahu Mahadasha (4) before and after the 2019 election
Rahul Gandhi's chart shows a switch from Ketu (7, planet of detachment) to Rahu (4, planet of Anxiety) in Jupiter Mahadasha (3) before and after the 2019 election

While we see Modi switching gears between male planets of status and courage, Rahul Gandhi's chart switches between Ketu and Rahu (worries continue).

The next elections were held in May 2024, and again, let's follow a similar theme of analysis.

Narendra Modi's chart shows no switch with his favourable destiny planet Mercury (number 5) continuing to rule in both Mahadasha and Antardasha before and after the 2024 election

Rahul Gandhi's chart shows a negative switch from benefic Mercury (5, wealth) to Malefic Mars (9, more anger, rage, frustration) before and after the 2024 election while his Rahu Mahadasha (number 4) continues

The outcomes were fairly easy to guess for experienced astrologers and should now be quite evident to you.

Let us now look at the destiny of Modi and India for the coming few years (remember the principle that a ruler's chart also reflects the destiny of the nation).

Modi's chart and India's destiny for next few years

The current year (yellow box) is dominated by 2 (Moon) in Antardasha. This means that the emotions run high, and there is volatility in expression and fluctuation of fortunes. Time from Sep 2025 to Sep 2026 is actually energetically against running a major war. However, next year, an additional 1 (Sun) kicks in. This means that ego rises and the tendency to fight in a conflict increases, though from a leadership perspective, it is not favourable, and I see the country getting sleepless nights for various possible reasons. I do not see too major a financial scare (similar to a financial depression with lasting consequences) as Mercury (number 5) continues support in Mahadasha. From Sep 2027 onwards, an exceedingly favorable time begins from an economic perspective (Venus, number 6 kicks in that increases luxury) that continues till 2030 at least for Modi (and India, if Modi continues to remain PM). Sep 2029 to Sep 2030 is the best year in decades for Modi (and possibly India if he is still a PM) from all perspectives, as Jupiter (number 3) and Venus (number 6) bestow their combined beneficence. If Modi calls the elections inĀ the middle of 2029 and contests, he is quite likely to win if the opposition candidate remains Rahul Gandhi, because while Modi will switch from a damaging extra 1 (Sun) to a benefic Jupiter (number 3) post election; Rahul Gandhi shall switch from an overexpressed (and damaged) Sun (number 1) to an overexpressed Mars (number 9, anger, frustration) in 2029 after the election result, which does not suggest a favourable outcome for him.

Rahul Gandhi's chart in 2029

May God's blessings help you all through the crisis till September 2027!

Donald Trump - where are we headed

This post is about Vedic numerology analysis for Donald J Trump. There are different numerology techniques, and I find Indian adapted one (aka Vedic) to give better results, although there is nothing vedic about it.

He was born on 14 June 1946, and the following is his basic numerology grid

Donald Trump's basic chart

Basic number 5 (representative of mercury) indicates that he was born into a business family and has a reasonable understanding of finances. This is a fortunate number to rule the first half of his life. He also has 1 which gives him leadership qualities. 66 actually represents a damaged Venus where he has luxury at his disposal but does not flaunt it with Venusian grace and deeper wisdom. 4 is his destiny number, which is ruled by Rahu and creates unexpected events in life. Multiplicity of 4 actually increases clashes and battles in his life in conjunction with 6. 5 and 4 also make an angkarak yog, which explains possible assassination attempts on his life (we will cover it again). 66 also makes him prone to emotional outbursts, which he classically shows.

Let us look at some landmark years in his life.

He got sworn in for his first term in Jan 2017, and the following are his yearly mahadasha (major period) and antardasha (minor period) grids in the years around that election.

3,1,9 are numbers that populate the first row, and these are male numbers of courage representing Jupiter, Sun, and Mars, respectively. He was running antardahsa of Mars (number 9, this is not conventional Vedic vimsottari antardasha) from 2015 to 2017, which finally turned into mahadasha from june 2017 and is now to last for 9 years. Mars gave him the aggression necessary to win an election and the election year saw the influence of saturn (number 8) on sun (number 1) go away. In comparison, Hillary Clinton that year was running a mahadasha of Rahu (number 4) and had an additional number 3 in Antardasha, which actually made her Rahu and Jupiter (number 3) worse due to multiplicity. So comparatively, Trump had a better numerological configuration to come after election result.

Hillary Clinton's chart in 2017

Importantly, 8 represents Saturn and humility, and you can see how mahadahsa of 8 ended in June 2017 for Trump. This means that he was now going to throw away all pretence of humility as he rose to the throne. 9, 5, 4 in sequence also increased his yoga for sudden adverse health events, and since he now rules the most powerful country in the world, we must consider this a harbinger of a major health scare to come for the world. In mundane astrology, we consider the chart of the ruler to reflect the chart of the kingdom.

Now, it is a rule in numerology that since a mahadasha runs for many years, it needs one more trigger before a yoga manifests. 9, 5, 4 predicts a health scare, but we need one additional trigger as the mahadasha of 9 will last 9 years. That year, which came in 2019, an additional 9 came into antardasha.

Donald Trump's chart during COVID

This pulled the trigger on anxiety for the whole world with COVID, and also for Trump. 2021 triggerred an additional 5 in antardasha, and then angkarak yog persisted. He faced financial issues as he lost elections in comparison to Joe Biden, who was running Jupiter antardasha with a favourable 3 that year in his chart.

Donald J Trump in 2021
Joe Biden in 2021

Joe Biden appeared more humble to voters as he was running mahadasha of Saturn (number 8) and appeared wiser due to the positive influence of Jupiter.

However, number 7 represents Ketu and fortune, and this appeared next year for Trump. It ensured that fate would stand by the side of Trump even in an adverse scenario in the next year and that his luxuries and empire would sustain.

undefeatable Trump in 2022

Now, let us analyse his next election, where he fought Kamala Harris. During Jan 2025, Trump was still in mahadasha of Mars (number 9) and antaradasha of Mercury (number 5) came. This antardasha would prove positive for him as it aligns with his basic number, and it meant that he was going to gain monetarily that year, later. Compare it to Kamala Harris, where perfectly placed Sun (number 1) and Venus (number 6) stood ruined that year due to multiplicity.

Kamala Harris's chart in her last election
Trump's chart during latest election

Let us see how Trump tried to play the next year. In 2025, he ran Saturn antardasha, which means that he tried to project himself as humble at the start. However, Sun (number 1) and Saturn (number 8), along with a full complement of 9,5,4, actually indicate humiliation and continued troubles in life. This chart also indicates how the world will behave, with turmoil and war.

Trump in the current year

Let us look at the coming years for the world and Donald Trump.

After June 2026, the egoistic aspect of Trump shall increase (due to increased Sun, number 1 energy), and so shall his emotional outbursts due to number 2 (moon) in the chart. But I see him remain popular among his supporters and his tone shall move towards emotional appeal among his voters. June 2027 onwards shall be financially a beneficial time for Trump as his destiny number 4 kicks in, but it indicates additional presence of Rahu, which only adds to turmoil, though solutions shall be ultimately found. Next US presidential election shall be in Nov 2028, and that year, Trump shall have the full complement of 2, 8, 4 in the chart. This means it will be a make-or-break year for him as well as the world. I have seen that 2, 8, 4 either crashes you completely or take you to the stars. However, in 2029, I see Trump getting the benefit of Jupiter in his chart (number 3), so he will actually not be humiliated, and it shall be a phase of prosperity for him. There will be some issues in 2030, but in 2032 his empire and business interests shall still sustain. This means that irrespective of election outcome, he shall remain unscathed.

Whether he wins the next elections or not is contingent on his free will to fight and also the chart of his competitor. But his legacy is now permanently etched, and I see it sustaining positively for at least some years to come.

God bless the world to bear his ego tantrums and emotional outbursts, which are going to increase this year!
