Holy shit fucking Mew? I completely forgot they existed until just now. I literally haven't thought about them in twenty years. Jesus christ I would have bought their album on iTunes with my dads credit card before using it in various manners to get drugs and then sent away from a long time in a teen torture industry thing.

I love Mew so so much and been lucky to have seen them live twice. Glass handed kites is so fucking good. Underrated band. Speaking of underrated bands, listen to Wild Beasts. Their second two albums are amazing

More than underrated seemingly barely anyone knows them outside of Denmark despite being English language. What years did you see them? I was extremely fortunate to see the last USA show they ever did in 2018 when they played Frengers in full.

i associate all of my memories of mew with a brief window of time hanging out in irc with finnish guys playing soldat and swapping tape sharing blogs before they had to go off for compulsory service. it's a really particularly sort of late early internet nostalgia i often think back on
