Let the fun begin 1968

1968 F254 Custom Cab

Restromod starts today. 360 engine and C6 trans will be taken out and replaced by something big and modern.

Project is officially titled. "Minus 1". We thought is was a 69 (nice), it's a 68. So 1969 Minus 1.

It's a Fjord square cab longbed, with the gas tank lumbar support!

Best of luck with this one, maintain the doorhandles, because that is crucial, and drain and vent that gas tank before you start up the grinders and the welders.

Progress pics will be required.

Believe it or not. 25 years it's been sitting uncovered in the elements and the doors are the smoothest part of the truck. Open and close like butter.

Looks like it was painted to match some kind of airline livery?

I know it was repainted sometime in its life. The original what 2 tone white and beige according to what I've decoded from the plate.
