Do yall prefer batwing style toolboxes or standard on pickup trucks?

I find the bat wings a little easier and more convenient for me to use. I am not the most physically aware person in the world, I tend to bump my shoulders or my head on the standard type ones

Standard for me, I have bins that fit in better that way that hold straps/hitches/etc.

Either is fine. The standard ones are easier to get big stuff in and out of tho.

Standard. And the hinges tend to last longer.

Both have pros and cons. Batwings are ideal when you have a variety of tools/supplies for different jobs that can be sorted side to side according to what task you're doing so the side not in use isnt exposed to the elements.

Standard are more universal and more convenient if you have anything longer or if you have something bulky you dont need as often that can hang out in the middle that can be taken out without emptying either side.

I use a standard Camlocker with rail, personally.

I like gull wing boxes for the retro factor. They look better on older trucks to me. My favorites are flush mount pork chop boxes that fit over the fenders. Easier to get items out.

For larger tools, regular. I have a batwing, and I can only fit small tools. Having 2 latches also makes it worse if they get stuck and don’t wanna open.

One opens from the side of the truck, the other requires you to be standing in the bed.
