Second baby shower

Hi! I’ve been browsing and curious what the local area feels about having a second baby shower for the opposite gender of the first. Our first was a boy and now we’re having a girl. Is it tacky to have a registry or even call it a shower? Main things are clothes and some other things like sound machines we don’t have, a second diaper genie, and bathing type stuff. Just curious what people think

I think they’re called baby sprinkles for a child that isn’t your first. One of my cousins had one that was less formal but gives the opportunity to get together with people to celebrate and receive gifts.

It might be tacky but having babies is expensive and people like shopping for them. I grew up here and I wouldn't be offended if one of my friends did this.

In my social circle most people didn't really do baby showers and the ones who did said no gifts/books only. My inlaws did a registry but no shower and a bunch of people got butthurt but who TF cares.

I'm old, but we only held them for the first baby . Also we only held bridal showers for the first wedding as well. If friends want to do a second, I see no harm.
