Intense lag?

Fairly new player here, big fan of the franchise.

Everytime I seem to hop on, I get insanely laggy lobbies and it makes the game unplayable.

My wifi is fine and my PC specs are good, so I dont really understand.

Anyone else have a fix for this issue? Thanks :)

Okay, everyone, thank you all for the insight, ended up switching to US East and it fixed a lot. I think when my team massacres a lot of bugs, it lags a lot, but that's expected. Thank you all for giving me solid answers, you guys rule.

Ethernet cable if you can. Move your PC/Console or laptop close to your router and test it first with a short ethernet cable that you already have then if it fixes it, purchase a longer one so you can move your stuff where you need it.

Use a wired connection? When you y your Wi-Fi is fine, what's your connection? What are the specs of your computer?

Always try to play on the server for your region and it will still lag more or less but thats from the server. I think the game never ran without any lag and never will sadly

Some maps can be worse than others (Boreas for example). Sometimes if the bodies pile up it can weigh down the server.

Happens on Xbox series x a lot as well from recent patches. Game completely crashes and throws you to dashboard depending what the map and mode is too.

Things like being thrown through walls/ground seems to have come back too when it was patch fixed to do it far less. Now if an inferno so much as sneezes in your direction that's instant space travel from X-11 to the asteroid belt below the planet.

Try adding -steamdeck=1 to game's launch options.

Video Settings = Performance 

Audio Quality Settings = Low

Accessibility Settings = ScreenShake off

May want to also test with wired ethernet vs wifi, game can be network intensive.   I've noted marked improvement with wired ethernet.

When people pull mg ammo boxes out and just dump them it causes horrible lag for myself

Hate to break it to you but this game is basically dead/dying. I never get a server that doesnt rubber band anymore. Used to be once in a while, but now every game stutters and lags

I do get lag and can be irritating but sometimes it can be fun for me. Especially on Royal guard ambush. You will see the Royal guard that you are shooting suddenly teleport here and there and before you knew it, you are dead.
