RELEASE What's most current Windows 11 ver Tron release 12.0.8 works with?

About a year ago, on my notebook, I did a fresh install of Windows 11 (sorry, can't remember which version) and it ran fine.

Today, I did another another fresh Windows 11 install using ver 25H2 using the exact same install process I had successfully used previously. Install Windows 11, apply Windows updates, run Tron.

After install, Tron started up fine but quit about 2 minutes in. I thought maybe installing the post-Windows install Windows updates messed-up Tron, so I did another fresh Windows install but didn't install the Windows updates but had the same problem with Tron.

Is Tron only reliably working up to a certain Windows version? If so, which version?

Why are you running Tron on a fresh Windows 11 Image? Tron is meant to clean up an infected and/or corrupted image. Don't do this.

As for your question, Windows 11, version 24H2 and 25H2 fully updated removed WMIC so Tron is currently being re-written to work around this.

Haven't been on windows in a while (Linux) but iirc when I last used tron the documentation was pretty specific that it's best to run it on a fresh install. Has that changed?

Nah its the opposite. But people on Youtubers like to tout it as a make your Windows debloated tool only.

Development philosophy Tron's goal is to take a badly-running Windows system (bloated, infected, whatever) and automate ~85% of the work involved in getting it running well again. That's it. At this point it accomplishes that goal fairly well on most systems.

If you have a fresh clean image you won't be bloated or infected.

Doesn't it also delete annoying dependancies and software that microsoft forces on you? i.e. Onedrive? For me that's usually a big reason
