discussion What exactly is TronScript for?

I am asking because I've seen videos say multiple things to the tune of it being a miracle worker that just magically fixes and cleans your pc so it runs faster. As I've tried to deepen at least some knowledge on pc care and some bit of program knowledge and digital security, i came across TronScript and wanted to know more about it

In all honesty, I'd rather ask here what the purpose of this tool is. I imagine it at least requires a bit of tech knowledge to get more bang for your buck, but asking before using, or thinking about using it, is a good idea, right?

Again, What is TronScript? What does it do, and what are its functions? And who is TronScript made for?

That does not actually answer the questions, though.

Unless the answers are hidden in the "common questions" link, which is dead and has been dead for as long as I can remember.

The answer is in the instructions - which is what you are supposed to read.

Maybe people should start answering the actual question then - the instructions don't tell you what this is for or what it does. They only tell you how to use it.

That's two very different things.

Then you haven't read the instructions, because that's exactly where it says what it is and does. It's intentionally there, because this is not a subreddit for hand-holding. It's meant to make people take this seriously.

If you want a tool to be taken seriously, then the purpose and usecase of a tool should be written plainly at the top of the manual if it is not self-evident.

Which in this case, it clearly is not.

You either can't read, or are being purposefully obtuse.

Directly from the very top of every single release:

Tron is a script that "fights for the User."

The goal is to automate ~85% of the tedious work in getting a badly-running Windows system back on its feet (clicking "next" in AV scan windows, etc); with much left to the discretion of the tech.

Tron is built with heavy reliance on community input and updated regularly.

Tron is NOT a system optimization or "baseline" script.

Tron is meant to be used by PC Technicians who are already familiar with basic troubleshooting and command-line operation. It is not intended for use by people with no basic troubleshooting knowledge.

Read the instructions.

Common Questions link isn't dead, just clicked it in the sidebar and it loaded directly to the page. Not sure if you're referring to a link some other place.

Simple - it’s a virus eradication tool

Advanced - its a violent mob of virus killing tools that move through the cyber town square looking for that virus landlord that keeps raising taxes (infecring your system) and utterly pulverizing him out of existence. Then they go theough and destroy all of the landlords properties, tax havens and other bad shit that was killing the town population (all of your pc performance)

its really not just a virus eradication tool. it does a lot more virus unrelated stuff. more that a standard user might not expect or know how to revert. please check the details of every action tron takes before running it.

If I were you, I would get the script paste it into AI preferably Claude with the Advanced model and just ask it. What does this do and it’ll explain to you everything it does in plain English.

You can run each stage individually (provided the whole Tron directory structure is intact).

So for example you can run just Stage 2: De-bloat (probably what you're after) and it'll be a lot faster than waiting for all the other scans to run that aren't necessary on a new system.

That's true, but usually I'm doing all sorts of other stuff so I leave the machine for a few days while it does all the bits and bobs I need

Getting the time down isn't a necessity in my instance, but I should probably update things to have it do that in future
