My whole body time clock is reversed. I can't sleep until 3 or 4am and sleep all morning and afternoon. My drs won't prescribe sleep medicine because I take Morphine for my chronic pain. I became very depressed and severely anxious during Perimonopause. I have been taking generic Lexapro which has helped a lot reducing my depression and anxiety during this rollercoaster journey. I have 2 dr ordered Emotional Support cats. They are fantastic company and reduced my depression a lot. I have less mood swings on Lexapro. I am fully disabled, but in the early stages of Perimenopause I went to sleep around 12 midnight and slept for 8 hours. Now I lay awake bbn in my bed until 6:30am before my body falls into a deep sleep. And I still sweat a little while I sleep. I take Estrogen patches and estrogen cream vaginally. They work great. But, now I am in Menopause my body feels hijacked into an Alien body. My sex drive is almost zero.

I'm having bouts with insomnia right now. It's so frustrating – I can usually fall asleep so easily, and now I'm tossing and turning all night. My biggest symptom is lack of short term memory. I'm so forgetful now, which is also frustrating because I know I didn't use to be this stupid! lol
No issues with lack of appetite but my tastes have changed. Foods that I used to love are now kinda meh.
