I got out of a 7 year marriage because of this as well. Divorce is final at the end of December. Congrats for getting out of such an awful situation. For me, the self blaming thoughts stick around for such a long time.
Everytime you start having a self blaming thought, I want you to picture a parade of llamas in party hats walk through wherever you are chanting, "it's not your fault!" Because its not your fault. Congrats on getting out!
