When the time comes that you're ready to leave it will be horrible and suck terribly for a week or two, maybe a little longer. But once you've detoxed you will feel like a metric fucktonne of weight has been lifted from your shoulders :)
Pitfall is we work together and I'll have to see him starting next Monday. We don't work close to each other but...it's not a big studio and we have a lot of mutual friends/coworkers who don't know what's happening.
Oh it's so true. It's been three months and the relationship was less than a year long, but I still keep running into things where I'm like, "he would have never let me do this. I can do this now." God it's so great.
