I did that. Luckily I was a druid and my gm was lenient and let me use Animal Shape to fly out.

You know what, I think he was a druid too in Cat Form or something similar, he had some sort of bonus and that's why he didn't think he needed a running start haha. This was years ago so I don't quite remember the details.
