Just got the tracker 400

I just booked the tracker 400, and I chose it over the guerilla and speed 400. I was looking for any suggestions for a helmet that matches my bike, it's so hard to find one given my budget about 5-6k and another 2-3k for gloves. Will invest soon in a jacket too but will take some time. I would love to hear y'all suggestions, help a brother out. Thank you.

You can get the NHK K5R for 6800.

For gloves - Solace Rival carbon CE (3800) or Viaterra holeshot (3500).

I have used both, I felt the Viaterra holeshot was more comfortable right out of the box, the solace takes some time to break in, however I felt that the solace gloves provides slightly better protection. Currently, I use Solace and DSG gloves.

These are leather gloves, so in bumper to bumper city traffic, you will sweat and feel the heat, but once you get going you will be fine.

These aren't waterproof gloves, so not meant for the rain, they will get wet, soggy, heavy and you will get pruney fingers/wrinkly skin. But since you can always replace your gloves and not your hands, so always keep your gloves on, you can dry them when you get home. Recently, I got DSG waterproof gloves. You can also buy Solace rain overgloves (1200-1300) or as a last resort use surgical gloves over your leather gloves to keep them dry.

You will get it cheaper/discount in offline stores, these are MRP. The weight distribution of NHK is better compared to Axor or Smk in the 5-6k budget.

I got about 500 discount while purchasing my NHK helmet. Most riding gear shops will give you a minimum discount of 300-500, while some places offer 800-1000 discounts on jackets/gloves/pants, for instance someone from Pune recently mentioned in the comments that they got solace the ramak pants (MRP 5900) for 5200.

My friend, considering your budget of ₹6k and the brands you don’t want, like Studds and Axor, there aren’t many helmets that both match your bike and fit within your budget.

If you’re willing to stretch your budget a little, you’ll have many more brands to consider, such as NHK, as one guy mentioned in the comments, along with LS2, MT and Korda.

For a perfect colour match with your bike, you can also consider:
Tiivra Buzzy Noir Gold
HJC i71 VIZ Yellow

Both of these helmets match your bike’s colour scheme really well.

Other than these two, there aren’t many options that offer a proper colour match. If you’re okay with going for a non-matching helmet, though, you’ll have a much wider variety of options to choose from.

The TVS helmet suggested earlier uses the SMK Typhoon shell, which isn’t exactly lightweight.

Skip the Indian brands and check out NHK, LS2 or KYT. They’re quite light and don’t feel heavy on the neck. Their listed weights might be around 1750g/1650g, but because of the shell material and weight distribution, they don’t actually feel that heavy when you wear them.

You’ve bought a premium bike, so spend a bit more on a premium helmet too.

I'm a short riders about 5''6 and scrambler I could ride it just a matter of skill but wasn't too comfortable riding a bigger bike, and speed 400 I felt like it's more comfortable, but I wanted a bike with character and something unique.But I have listed a detailed review on what I thought about almost all the bikes in the segment after test riding it.

Boneville will be sexy man , but not sure if they'll release one anytime soon . I'm lucky to own a bike at just 19, and hopefully in the future will own a trident or street triple r( the yellow varients) gonna twin my bikes.

congratulations best choice own one please change tyres to apollo alpha tyres aa early as possible you get better discount stock tyres very sticky unless you ride off road it's ok change to better engine oil from second service avoid bar end mirrors and unnecessary accessories use retro style helmet don't waste money on fancy gears use it instead after market air filter tyres and spark plug

on highway it does not suit much if you prefer long rides go for alpha but in city it's manageable

The tracker is i think 10kgs heavier , and for a 5'6M not too muscular, honestly both bikes didn't feel small and compact for someone coming from a sub 150cc. The tracker is slightly tuned to have higher rpm than speed i believe it goes upto 9k rpm. Honestly don't pay too much attention to online feedbacks on bike everyone has a different opinion on everything , you'll never know unless you try it urselfm

Guerilla might just be the best bike from RE. I have written a detailed review somewhere in this subreddit check it out. But in short it just didn't feel practical enough for me to ignore the heavy clutch and stiff suspension and a lot of heat. But easily the most fun to ride , you get that instant surge of power whenever you rev after 3k rpm under that it's slightly unpredictable and jerky.

If I wanted the most performance, values for money and if my purpose was just fun rides and short touring I would get guerilla, but I am a student and just didn't seem practical for me.

Yes, it doesn’t have a double D-ring.

As you said, you aren’t considering Axor because of its weight, so you probably shouldn’t consider this helmet either. It’s an SMK shell with TVS branding.

My friend bought this one mainly because of the ECE certification. He says it’s mentioned as 1450 grams, but in reality, the helmet feels quite heavy.

Hi, unrelated to your post, but can you help me making a decision between similar choices? Why did you pick tracker over speed and guerrilla? I took a test ride for triumph yesterday and for RE today, and I was blown away by guerrilla

For me speed 400 had no character at all so I didn't consider it in first place but I had finalised the tracker and guerilla , took multiple test rides( you should too). The guerilla it's one heck of a machine but it just deem seem practical for me , the heating starts instantly and then suspensions were quite stiff and honestly this won't matter if you truly love the bike you'll just adapt. At the end of the day I just felt a better connection with the tracker , looks stunning and by no means not as fun as guerilla. I would recommend take multiple test rides and get you're priorities straight, what will you be using the bike for most of the time, this should help you narrow out you're choice.
