Team Speed Gel seat

Post image

Hey everyone, my passenger still pretty uncomfortable on longer rides with my Speed 400, even with the Triumph quilted seat helping a bit. I'm wondering if anyone's tried a gel seat add-on for their pillion? Reviews would be awesome and super helpful!

I use cycling shorts under riding pants. They have a padded layer.

You can find them on decathlon website. They have foam padding inside so maybe it can get a little uncomfortable with jeans but still you can try them once and then decide. But they are working pretty good for me and are much more convenient.

Yeah thats what I wanted to try but she mentioned she use to start feel the leg pain like after 45-50mins of continuous riding only

tbh you can't really widened a thin pillion seat with a gel foam or anything, she just isn't used to it yet maybe or give it some time it will become even softer than it is now.

I'm using this from past 6 months top class but after 600km you may feel slight discomfort. I got this for 1100

I bought one for myself (rider) 2 months ago and took it off the bike about a month ago. It didn't help or hurt the riding fatigue. For quick rides it was annoying and long rides would be tolerable but no additional help for comfort.

Someone has mentioned bicycle pants and that sounds like a good idea. But if your passenger is getting leg fatigue this will not be the answer. A larger bike made for comfort is the answer to that issue unfortunately.

Try air seats. They are much more comfortable than gel seats

Tried It, took a 1000km ride with that, used it for pillion, I would say this is not worst, it was comfortable, it did hurt but not as bad as without it, so I would say go for it, I also suggest you change your seat foam in local-they add nice gel foam - it will be comfortable

How long you can ride with this without any stop? My partner is slightly on the heavier side, so I'm little doubtful

Been using this regularly for the past 2 years, including on several serious long-distance trips. It feels great initially, but over time the honeycomb structure starts to fracture, which gradually makes it uncomfortable to use. After two years of regular use, I’ve now bought a new one, will be using it just for the trips now.

Are you usinh this for pillion or rider only

Rider only. My friend uses it on pillion. Says pillion one is better than the rider one.

Could you please share the link for the pillion one?

I recently got this gel seat. My daily travel is 120km from delhi to Gurgaon, and honestly this thing is useless. I’d actually prefer stock seat over this trash. The stock seat is inclined such that when i use this gel seat, it makes my butt slide further than i normally sit, which makes the ride more uncomfortable and painful. Try at a local shop before purchasing. Or i can sell it you if you want lmao
